I think playing without Nalyssa has got the defense all out of sorts. A lot of missed assignments leading to open shots, and less than optimal rebounding. Needs to be fixed but hopefully a temporary situation.

Wish it was that simple - but there are some real problems right now - The defensive awareness and intensity we saw in the WV game has somehow mysteriously disappeared except for occasional spurts. Its on the entire team - Gotta get it fixed by Texas or we will never hear the end of it from a certain poster.

Erin DeGrate put up 7 point and 2 boards in limited minutes against her old team.

Family night missing your top scorer again...playing the subs for family night...getting up 21 in third and then just losing focus...it happens. We were on a very good roll for a while and now have lost a bit of focus but still beaten motivated teams with talent giving us their best shots. The one player that may not be right is LC she just has been in a funk since coming back...she certainly allowed Brewer from Tech to out play her today. not only has her shooting been below par but her defensive efforts have been spotty and she just did not block out well today.

I just thought by now that Lauren would be looking better. I love that young lady. It just may take longer than I expected. She's no doubt the only one who really knows how her body is feeling.

I thought Lauren blocked at least 2 shots. She was credited with zero blocks.

She excelled in the high post passing the ball to Big Erin D. .
DeGrate has good hands.

I thought I was the only one who noticed that. LC is not the LC of 2019 - I fear the combination of her Knee injury and then the foot thing combined with her Diabetes has really taken a physical toll on her more then anyone anticipated. She looks lethargic, her reactions are slow - she is just out of sync. I saw rebound she normally snags go to a TT player because she did not block out and when have teams had success driving to the rim like TT did today when she is patrolling the paint. Beginning to wonder if she should have sat the year out with a redshirt.
She is not the only one I thought Bickel was going to fall out vs WV, Cooper is off her game, all of the ladies were breathing heavily vs TCU and TT - I would not be surprised if the whole team had to fight some sort of bug these last two games.

Trinity Oliver: 0-1, 1 board and 1 assist in 3 minutes!
She didn't get an opportunity to shine.

Moral victories

For perspective:

Sixteen days ago, the Lady Bears took on the then #1 ranked Lady Huskies on the road at Hartford, Conn. They won by 16 points with some great performances.

It's only the last two games that they have not shown their profuse talents. Three games in eight days, while practicing and keeping up with classes might take a toll on them. I thought that CKM commented about some not feeling well.
