We're 8 wins away from you 'being right'. Hope you are, but it's early and baseball is a game for superstition and jinxes.GoldMind said:You just dont have it in you to admit I was right. Thats ok.Oldbear83 said:More like Hinch's planning and management, but sure.GoldMind said:

the thing about baseball, especially at this level, is that the margin for error is so thin... Your stud goes out and doesn't have his best stuff and their spare throws the game of his life... your 375 foot shot with 2 on is caught leaning over the fence and their 300 pop fly glances off of your glove into the crowd for a three run homer...GoldMind said:You dont really belive that. it's what makes this time of year so intense... the stakes are so high and the difference between winning and losing so thin...
it's awesome.... but stressful
and over the course of 162 things like that even out....GoldMind said:JusHappy2BeHere said:the thing about baseball, especially at this level, is that the margin for error is so thin... But random regular season games fall that way too. I was present for 1 one of Peacocks 2 losses and it was like that. He just didn't have it that day. It's thin all the time.
The stakes are higher now that's why it's intense just like you said.

What a win! So glad to be at that one!
First time to see Verlander in person. Did not disappoint.
Wayback Machine review: Verlander now has 3 playoff wins, and has allowed 4 runs, 5 bases on balls, and has 16 strikeouts in those games.D. C. Bear said:Serious answer. No, I don't. Don't think he'd be worth what it would cost to keep him, either.Oldbear83 said:
Serious question: Do you think Verlander is worth what it would cost to get him?

Yes, after months of argument and hazing and me telling you.
A lesson taught is better than one told.

No, actually, you are acting immaturely by trying to assign the Astros' success to your arrogance. But whatever.GoldMind said:Oldbear83 said:I see logic is optional for you tonight. No, I said after the first week that exactly what's happening right now would happen. You can go back to page 1 for reference. This is now, and has been since opening day, the best team in the league.
I know what you said. I also know that not one of the Astros' victories was due to anything you said.
