Or my Texas Rangers. We will be dead last this year

Perhaps your GM shouldn't have traded a 5 tool bad ass for a sack of deer corn. The bad juju from that trade still manifests.
Winning by cheating is just as impressive as winning fairly, probably even more so. Your opponent was better than you in every way, and you beat them with your brain.

Totally agree! He's an idiot!

Happy for Houston and will always yell for you except when you play my Rangers. Did I mention how Texas proud I was too in your World Series Championship.

I try. You seem like one of the good Ranger fans. And I don't mean that just because you are on the Astros thread singing us praises. Like truely, you seem like a good fan.

I'm a Texan. That should say it all! I love my state and want the best for anything in it. Except for maybe the aggies. Lol

I love them Stros with all my heart but I'm very much a fan of the game. I own hats of several different teams.

Springer, Altuve, Correa, Gurriel, Reddick, Bregman, Marwin, Gattis. 8 guys in the Opening Day starting lineup, and all 8 have significantly lower OPS figures in 2018 than in 2017. No one is performing equal to last year.

So naturally, the 2018 Astros have an MLB-best run differential of +77.

I guess having an all-time great Pitching starting rotation is important.

Those numbers last year were insane. I'm good with being slightly lower at this stage of the season, just pray without ceasing that out starting 5 stay steady.

FWIW

The Astros have three players with an OPS higher than .800: Correa (.880), Springer, (.857), Altuve (.801).

We lead all other teams in ERA by nearly a full run. In-sanity.

2.66

Next closest are the snakes at 3.05.....

We don't get to be too happy for each other on the Ranger side. Lolol

Thats yet another sub-3 run outing for Astros pitcher. Giles did his job, and Bradley J Peacock striketh them out.

Springer stealing signs while on 2nd was funny to me. Casilla didnt think it was funny at all.

YW.

Correa sent a tomahawk missile into dead center. Gattis bombed out the Crawford boxes.

I'm not looking past the Angels, but this looming Cleveland series has me all giddy. Good pitching vs good bats in both sides, I'm ready for a battle. Get it? bat-tle.

I sure picked the wrong game to go to this weekend!

and add in a little trash between the players after Bauer called the Houston pitching staff cheaters....

unfortunately he throws on Wednesday, so we won't be seeing him this series.

I know. I'd love to see one of us take him 450 into the middle of Crawford. Then wink at him while rounding 3rd.

Or win 5-3, I'll take that too.

I don't wanna jinx him, but Giles has been good since his episode. Cole kinda had an off-ish night but it happens. Let's get this next one and get ready for a battle with the Cleveland racists.

Marisnick down, Kemp up.

I tend to agree with this, however I don't remember Kemp doin a ton against big league arms. I'm not a GM, but I'm a wee bit surprised Tucker didn't get the call or even JD.

If anything, we're in the same spot we are right now if Kemp doesn't hit.

True. He's been hitting well with Fresno, but his MLB stats haven't been good these last two years. JD is doing well, but he hasn't impressed me in his ABs as an Astro.

JD was kinda on an upswing right before he got sent down. But who knows?

I've gone over the history of some great past players and some smashed in the minors and bigs, some were alright in the minors and better in the bigs. Who. Knows.
