I'm saddened that Tucker is doing literally **** since being called up. I pray without ceasing he picks it up soon.

Fortunately not too many of those these days
Seems like less when we hold the other guy to 1 runGoldMind said:Oldbear83 said:OK wrong word, frustrated when we hit into double plays.GoldMind said:Oldbear83 said:

We hit into more double plays than any other team. Least we did last time I checked.
Complete with a Springer Slam!JusHappy2BeHere said:
Nice win!
I'm ready for Correa to come back

Look at this.
It's not a stat really, but this is the most clutch team I've seen in a while. Call it luck or whatever, old schoolers would call it "timely hitting"

Yep. I think the biggest at bat of the inning wasn't even an at bat. It was Stassi's walk. Wade Davis was nasty to Max. Most players would have struck out there. After that walk, I felt really good.Oldbear83 said:
Very satisfying 10th inning against the Rockies, complete with another Springer Dinger

The Astros have been by far the unluckiest team in baseball, in respect to Expected W-L record vs. Actual W-L record. They have won 7 fewer games than expected. The Dodgers have won 5 fewer, for the 2nd unluckiest team.
But yes, last night's win was a boat load of fun.
Next time say that in maybe the 7th inning?D. C. Bear said:GoldMind said:

I was listening to the game last night and when it went to the 10th I said, "All right, boys, go out and get six runs!" You're welcome.

To quantify it, yes. This team continues to lose more 1-run games. Lack of timely hitting again.
yeah, it really bugs me that fan interference at their park was called to deny Bregman a triple.GoldMind said:ValpoCory said:GoldMind said:ValpoCory said:GoldMind said:

If stupid ass fans could restrain themselves, might have gone the other way.

Argh
I can't complain. All we gave up was a Single A pitching prospect? Basically, a modern day Ausmus. Can't hit but is a heck of a defensive catcher. Gonna make it even harder to score on us.JusHappy2BeHere said:

I knew the Pitchers weren't happy with Stassi behind the plate.... too many wrong signals and passed balls.... and lately his hitting hasn't made him worth it.... McCann is out for at least another month, and at his age, there is no guarantee how good he will be coming back.... so, good movesahen said:I can't complain. there have been more cross ups and conferences since he has been the #1 and I've seen several of the starters look frustrated him... Morton definitely was last night....GoldMind said:JusHappy2BeHere said:I knew the Pitchers weren't happy with Stassi behind the plate.... too many wrong signals and passed balls.... and lately his hitting hasn't made him worth it.... Where did you hear that? Verlander doesn't really mesh well with Stassi, but he's the best bat we have at the 2.

it's tough to replace a guy the quality of McCann with a veteran pitching staff
This trade wasn't due to Stassi. It was due to Federowicz.JusHappy2BeHere said:I knew the Pitchers weren't happy with Stassi behind the plate.... too many wrong signals and passed balls.... and lately his hitting hasn't made him worth it....
