The current score panel was installed in 2002 when they installed the first video board.

The current panel is LED. The original scoreboard had a conventional message board on top (where the ads are currently) and the original score panel also boasted conventional lighting and was installed in 1996 (with the original outfield wall at then Ferrell Field) when I was a junior.

That 2002 replacement was part of a package in which Daktronics also installed the first LED videoboards at Floyd Casey Stadium and the Ferrell Center.

The end of an era

Checked on scoreboard construction yesterday. Currently the crew is expanding the framework for the new board. So yes, it will be larger.

renewed my tickets for 2024, hope its ready by season start

As in on field level? Kinda like what MLB does at all the ballparks for advertisements?

My guess that's what it'll be done for. I'm just relaying information I got from someone who's close to the cookies stuff.

Apparently Mitch Thompson wants money he wants to fix up the whole stadium and he must've renovate it. He's pushing hard for boosters right now. First thing he got was a new video board.

It hasn't been major renovated no very long time. It just needs an update. We could be the best nicest stadium in big 12 recently. Our stadium has been at the bottom tier. It's time to put some respect on baylor baseball again.

I have been to college baseball stadiums from coast to coast. I assure The Ballpark is right there.
