Game 9:
TCU eliminates K State 9-4. TCU will play the loser of Kansas and OU.

Game 10:
Kansas 5
OU 7

TCU and Kansas will play to see who gets to play OU in the semifinals.

Game 11:
Tech eliminates Cincinnati 10-5. Tech will play the loser of UCF and Ok State.

Tech might sneak into a regional with one more win which would put them in the tournament semi-finals.

OK State 6

OK State will play Texas Tech with the winner playing UCF in the semifinals.

Game 13:
Kansas has blown a 9-0 lead at the end of the first inning and is tied with TCU at 10 after 7 innings. Winner gets OU immediately following this game. Loser is done. And all remaining games today are not going to start on time because this one is still going.

Kansas homered in the eighth and stopped a TCU rally with first and second and no outs to win.

Kansas blows another big lead. They were up 6-0 after two innings. OU came back within one in the fifth inning, tied it in the sixth and have the go ahead run at third with another runner on second with only one out.

OK State plays UCF in semifinal next.

Somebody help me understand this. In lower half of bracket UCF had no losses, Oklahoma State 1 loss, when the 2 teams played in "semi-finals." Oklahoma State won, giving UCF their first loss. Oklahoma State advanced to finals.

Why didn't these 2 teams play one more time to determine who advanced? Am I missing something? Did UCF lose an earlier game? Doesn't seem right every other team out of tournament had 2 losses. UCF was knocked out with 1 loss.

Its a double elimination tournament until the final four. Then it is win or go home. Not many tournaments are set up this way.

I agree, UCF and OK State should have played at like 4 today. Winner got OU at 730. If game tomorrow if needed.

This would have worked if other bracket went this way too. Just play at 1, 430, and 8.

Could have just moved championship and if game to tomorrow as well at 1 and 4.

Double elimination should be double all the way through unless both teams in championship come in with same record.

Oklahoma State wins the tournament 9-3.
