Watching this championship series of two very talented teams makes me wonder how they enticed players from going pro? Are they paying big $ for top talent or is it just a good sales pitch?

Pitcher with 101mph fastball and seniors that are grown men. Yes, NIL is the culprit.

Exactly the point of my question…why did they stay in college?

It isn't just the seniors - some of the players on both teams look like they could be scaring 30 years old.

Baseball is probably most susceptible to NIL of all the mainline sports. Minor league pay and schedules suck, and it takes forever to grind through the system before you go pro. Other sports give you pretty immediate feedback on whether you'll make it or not. Baseball is just a different animal, so if a player can enjoy college, play a fraction of the games and pocket more money, they're going to take that route unless they're like a top 5 can't-miss prospect.

Good point. Anyone have an idea how much of Baylor's GxG money is being allocated to baseball?
