WACO, Texas – Baylor track and field head coach Michael Ford announced the 2024 indoor and outdoor schedules on Monday afternoon. The Bears are slated to compete in 15 meets across nine states, all while welcoming collegiate track and field to Waco for a program-record four times.

“I am super excited for the track and field schedule this season,” said Ford. “It will be great to compete in Texas A&M’s new facility, go to Nebraska for the first time in a decade and compete at a future Big 12 site in Arizona. On top of it all, hosting three meets and then competing on our home track for the Big 12 Championship will be a great experience for our student-athletes and an excellent opportunity for our fans.”

The Bears open the indoor season in the McFerrin-12 Degree Invitational on Jan. 13th. It will be the first meet ever held in the Aggies’ new R.A. “Murray” Fasken Indoor Track Facility. The next week, the annual trip to Texas Tech’s Corky Classic is set for Jan. 19-20.

Baylor opens February in Nebraska at the Frank Sevigne Husker Invite on the 2nd and 3rd before heading to Clemson for the Tiger Paw Invitational for the second-straight year, held on Feb. 9-10, for a final tune-up before the Big 12 Championship meet in Lubbock on Feb. 23-24.

The indoor season closes in style at The Track at New Balance in Boston, Mass., for the NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships on March 8-9.

For Bears not headed to indoor nationals, the outdoor season begins at home in the Baylor Invitational on March 2nd for a one-day opportunity to compete in the elements.

The Clyde Hart Classic officially rings in the outdoor season in Waco on March 22-23 as 12 teams come to Central Texas to compete.

In the first away meet of the outdoor season, the Bears fly to Baton Rouge for the Battle on the Bayou at LSU’s Bernie Moore Track Stadium on March 29-30. After an off weekend for Easter, Baylor makes another trip east for the Tom Jones Memorial at the University of Florida on April 12-13.

Back home, 25 teams will attend the Michael Johnson Invitational in Waco, a meet that was at the time No. 8 in the World Athletics Competition Performance Rankings last season.

The outdoor regular season closes in future Big 12 country at Arizona’s Desert Heat Classic in Tucson, held April 27.

The Big 12 Outdoor Track and Field Championships come to Waco for the first time since 2018 for three days, May 9-11.

The NCAA postseason starts at the NCAA West Preliminary Rounds in Fayetteville on May 22-26 to fight for a shot at the NCAA Outdoor Championship at Hayward Field in Eugene, Ore., June 5-8.

Team invitations for the three regular-season meets in Waco are closed.

Tickets and scheduling for all four meets will be updated as available on the Home Meet Information and Big 12 Championship pages.
