So worrying about Covid makes you stupid, and getting vaccinated reduces stress. If we could somehow get the vaccinated to stop worrying about Covid, we got ourselves a solution!

Selection bias. Those who chose not to get the vaccine did so because they were not anxious or depressed to begin with. Many or most who rushed to get it were already terrified by their daily ingestion of Covid fear porn.

Handing out parachutes to nervous fliers will yield the same results. Who cares?
