This is the first I've seen any of these clips, which tells you how irrelevant these programs have become and how only the echo chamber of his direct orbit is paying attention to him.Jack Bauer said:
Beto O'Rourke on every late night show hosted in NY or CA campaigning for Texas Governor tells you about all you need to know about him. He relates to celebrities, not real Texans.
I never watched late night shows when I had cable. I occasionally might watch a clip here and there when it is on facebook or something and a funny one, which is usually when it is an animal guy like Robert Irwin or Hanna and the host (usually Jimmy Fallon) and other guests are all scared.Ursus Americanus said:This is the first I've seen any of these clips, which tells you how irrelevant these programs have become and how only the echo chamber of his direct orbit is paying attention to him.Jack Bauer said:

Fair point - probably did not spent too much ... that will buy a lot of skateboards.BluesBear said:

Doubt Beto runs for office still again . 3 time loser…he's done .
There are simply too many other rich families with underachieving kids looking for ego enhancement. They will demand their chance .
Beto will now float off to some kind of bureaucratic fluff appointment. Party reward for being a loyal minion.

Given his position on guns he probably would be a great Secretary of Defense ... he meets Biden's qualifications (********).cowboycwr said:
He will run again for something. He may take an appointment in some level of government as one said, although it would have to be something in Biden's circle since I don't think he would take one at a Dem state leader or even dem Congress members circle. He would only accept one that gets him exposure like Biden's skateboarding czar or some other created position.

Niece is mid-40's, teacher, bleeding heart type, chirpy & upbeat & falls for all the liberal platitudes for all the right reasons. Furthest thing from the angry, intolerant progressives that dominate the scene today.Oldbear83 said:Well, the Democrats think there are, what, 48 genders or so, Lord only knows how many races they imagine exist.Osodecentx said:

That is, from one perspective Beto has lost:
A race for Senate
A race for President
A race for getting his fiction published
A race to be favorably compared to the Kennedies
A race to have better dental attractiveness than the British
A race to be more debonair than Don Knotts
A race to appear more intelligent than a fifth-grader
A race to become the most popular poster here at SicEm365 after hacking into a certain member's account
The guy just can't win
When she started gushing about Beto posturing to run for POTUS in 2019, I told her she should write him a letter asking him not to do it....that he couldn't win the primary and would be better served keeping his powder dry for the 2022 Gov race......that he's a great candidate, can raise money and fire up the Democrat base but the POTUS primary would drag him so far left that it would make him unelectable for anything in Tx.
And here we are....
he can't help his ownself. he's just a loser and he enjoys asking out of state liberal lunatics for more money to finance his lost causes. he should star in his own movie about his obsession for losing one race after another and looking bad doing it..

I am troubled that Beto received @3.5 million votes. Sure he lost, but I am surprised he pulled in the votes that he did.
BTW: I did not vote for him.
He won 43 percent, which is about the regular voting base a Democrat gets statewide, he was nothing special outside of the media.Guy Noir said:

Lupe Valdez raised ~ $220k and lost by 13% to @GregAbbott_TX in 2018. @BetoORourke raised $75,000,000 (and had $25M in outside support) yet lost by 11.9%.

Not sure why dems venture out to campaign. Biden hid and won. The stroke victim from Penn hid and won.sombear said:
Hysterical excerpt from a NYT Beto post-mortem. His own campaign manager said that every time he campaigned in rural areas (which was his early strategy) his approval numbers in those areas went down. Heck I just saw a story of a democrat in Pennsylvania that won the election despite being DEAD since October 9th.GrowlTowel said:Not sure why dems venture out to campaign. Biden hid and won. The stroke victim from Penn hid and won.sombear said:

Just yell abortion, abortion, abortion and hide is a winning combination for the left.
Texas Democrats: a postmortem after your Tuesday disaster via old Democrat Ben Barnes— and it’s pretty simple.

The more people actually learn about fascists they dislike them ... that's why the most successful fascist candidates are brain dead ... the more the Bidens, Fattermans, Betos, talk, the more they turn off people.GrowlTowel said:Not sure why dems venture out to campaign. It seems he has a cult following. People that don't really pay attention to politics or care about politics.
