No. Neither Biden is nor would Trump be.
Unless some new charisma emerges soon, in either party, we're screwed in '24, expecially if national parties are actually so studid as to nominate Biden and Trump again.
How 'bout a national referendum to neg BOTH in '24 and then see what the two political party primary process can come up with.
And no, no one whose last name is Harris or Trump can run either.
Fresh start.
I hear that sentiment not unfrequently, somewhat more softly spoken, from both sides of the aisle.
Not going to happen.
Your choice is going to be Trump or Socialism by race on behalf of the planet. Trump is much stronger in such a matchup than his critics can fathom, but they cannot say no to the forces that actually propel him.
Then it's going to be Socialism by race as Trump stands no chance of being president again .
His latest comments about Mitch McConnell's wife , seating arrangements at Queen Elizabeth's funeral and offer to negotiate a Russian - Ukraine peace agreement continue to reveal his compulsive egomania .
An egomania that is repulsive to all but his most die hard loyalists.
McConnells wife comments yes, the others are whatever.. I have heard much worse from currently elected officials and nobody blinks..
I think he would do quite well in negotions, thats his sweet spot.economy and foriegn policy were good under Trump(not Regan great but better than every president since) Dems never gave him much chance.
Trump's repulsiveness is cumulative.
Comment after stupid , tone deaf , politically suicidal comment has grown burdensome with many people .
Naturally his loyalists find some kind of perverse 'charm' to it…..but your average voter is fed up .
If the Republicans stand any chance at all in 2024 the party needs to find the stones to show Trump the door .
that would be ideal, showing that assbag the door so i could have a decent R choice. But i am not holding my breath.
Good plan. If he runs, he'll win.
He's trying to take McConnell out, or force him to get with the rest of the party. McConnell is (like most old-school establismentarians) quite tone deaf to the mood of the new coalitions in the party., particularly on social issues If the mid-terms play out as they should, Trump will have significantly strengthened the party, and done so with candidates he endorsed, isolating McConnell somewhat. That would be a good thing. McConnell is likely to be the primary obstacle to what the GOP needs to do to win in 2024, campaign for which starts on 9 November 2022. The artillery barrages need to open on 03 January 2023, with investigations on multiple issues to include impeachment, and a long list of bills to repeal the Biden legislative accomplishments and executive orders. Jut fill up Biden's desk with bills the country needs but will be poison pills for the Democrat coalition. Legislate for the purpose of showing America just how crazy this lot of Democrats really are. That is particularly true on the social issues....most Americans do not yet fully appreciate how far queer theory has run thru public education, nor how fully the Democrats control the public institutions pushing it. Lots of work to be done there.
The point of "McConnell's Chinese wife" comments is to show how tied McConnell is to old establishments (globalism, pro-China trade & security policies, etc....) that need to go away. It's hardball politics. Trump can play nice, and did so while McConnell's wife was in his admin. He will do so again if McConnell will play team ball. Totally up to Mitch. If he's half the pragmatic guy he purports to be, he will come around a little.
McConnell is still trying to play normal politics at a time when the other side is playing regime politics.
People like that are serious problems, and have to get with the program or get gone.
