funny.. it actually sounds like something Biden would do between pudding and nap time
totally. not like he can just fit it in while pencil whipping a scorecard at a goat track golf course.

I didn't know Biden played golf Or were you trying to sneak Trump into a Biden conversation.

Who doesn't love some good old fashion what about ism

The best thing that could happen is if the DOJ (Merrick Garland) put the hammer down on both Biden and Trump, Biden resigns, and neither man could ever run for President again. That would truly be a spectacular outcome.

Thinking out loud. When Trump is criticized Republicans cling more closely to DJT. This increases Trump's chances for the nomination.
When Biden is criticized Dems cling more loosely to Biden. This reduces Biden's chances for the nomination.

I look for the MSM to start reporting the bad stuff on Trump

The Trump investigation was done deliberately and cautiously, with subpoenas and warrants issuing only as a last resort.

I think we both know that there is very little chance this goes the same way.

But I find the rich irony very amusing.

Biden and Trump should both be punished severely. And their punishment should be equal. Do you agree?

Depends on the Republicans. MAGA, yes, but Republicans such as myself? Not so much.

No. I don't know how severely either of them should be punished, or even whether they should.

Just don't want to miss an opportunity to flush two turds at the same time. Instead we will draw battle lines defending the two turds, all the while shooting each other in the crossfire. That's just how we roll these days.

Regardless who is president our government can't secure our own intel worth a **** .

And on top of that there are always individuals willing to sell out our country for a few bucks .

I would never want any of my sons putting their lives on the line on behalf of such an inept/ corrupt government.

This isn't 1980 anymore . The United States has become a shadow of what it once was .

And the Greatest Generation is long dead .

I have heard some commentators make the point that the government overclassifies documents out of precaution and that there are documents that are technically classified but likely do not contain serious state secrets. No idea whether that has merit.

The precedent has been set with Sandy Burger and Hillary Clinton that we do not prosecute seriously these kinds of things. Maybe we should.

What jumps out at me:
1. The massive sudden change in tone from the regime media to "greatest threat to democracy in the history of democracy" to "but Trump!"
2. The amazing dearth of fake news leaks from the FBI / DOJ - so either those leaks around the Trump raid were fabricated by the media, the FBI really is weaponized for the Democrats, or the regime media is as biased as we all assume

The FBI has been increasingly politicized since Obama's first term as POTUS .

Only a hardcore political hack can't or won't accept this .

Worse…..there is no realistic solution to the problem. As our electorate is increasingly uninterested in what happens beyond maintaining their monthly credit card balance .

Correct. Obama really innovated in weaponizing the bureaucracy in attacking political opponents whether the IRS, FBI, or others. Added to the fact that Congress has basically forfeited its core responsibilities and is more focused on LARPing for social media, and the bureaucracy continues to consolidate unchecked power.

It won't go the same way. How many will notice the hypocrisy?

The biggest problem with this story is legacy media failing to make the point that he took these documents while being VP with absolutely zero power/rights to do so.

Whoops again! Now docs found in Biden's garage?

This story gets even worse and more ironic.

May be time for special counsel to get involved.

Too many coincidences. Biden is being set up by his Geppetto.
Our vibrations were getting nasty. But why? I was puzzled, frustrated... Had we deteriorated to the level of dumb beasts?

Future prediction:

The DOJ is going to come out and say "Well unlike Trump, Joe Biden didn't know the documents were there and after discovery they cooperated and immediately alerted the national archives". There will be no mention of the fact that the documents were sitting there completely unsecure or that he took these as vice president. No raids, no leaking pictures to the press, no impeachment talk...nothing.

Democrats will smile knowing they're above the rules and it will further empower them to break more of them.

It is bad.
Apparently the National Archives doesn't know what documents Biden has and doesn't know where they are. NA knew what documents Trump possessed.
Former VPs don't have access to classified documents.
The locations where documents have been stored are not secure.

I hate special counsels, but if we need one of Trump I don't see how we avoid one this time.

Prediction: Trump won't be indicted because Biden has done worse.

That is what makes this disclosure potentially worse. As you acknowledged, NA knew that Trump took the documents at issue from the very beginning. The Trump admin made no secret of it. In this case, the docs were apparently taken secretly by a non-president.

Not a good look at all for Biden. In his stupidity, he not only looks like a huge hypocrite (as does any Dem who doesn't come out and condemn him), but he's given Trump a HUGE shot in the arm, and most likely has re-invigorated his candidacy for president. Unreal.

One has to ask what is this story distracting from? Dems would normally trash or shred these and no one would ever know. Why are they reporting these found and making this public now when we all know nothing will come if it.

GOP is taking it hook line and sinker but Dems IMO are using it to distract from bigger more important scandals/stories.

I am probably giving the DOJ too much credit ...

  • The Trump raid always was a nothingburger and a political stunt by the FBI.
  • There is a group (the ones that steal believe the Russia Hoax) of regressives that genuinely are convinced that Trump took nuclear codes to sell to China.
  • Garland does not want grief from the loonies above because there is nothing more to do legally with Trump, show's over folks
  • Releasing the Biden crime (after the election) gives him cover to quietly let the Trump raid action expire because Biden's crime will satiate the loonies.

Starting to make sense: China gave $54M to Penn after "think tank" opened.

The Big Guy selling access to classified materials seems likely.

Lots of current and former Obidens on the dole.

Good thing the DOJ is focused on school parents.
