Btw, a decent person would have considered the point and apologized.

Why am I not surprised?

Because you see everything through your solipsism, Mothra.

Context and specific conditiion are lost on you.

But I am sure after you and Oso drive all Trump's supporters into not voting, you will pretend the resulting loss in the election was in no way your fault.

Another "garbage" post. Clearly you're "full of spite and malice" toward me, and lack any "cognitive functions."

P.S. Am I doing this right?
Not even close.

But you have the 'hypocrite' role down to second nature.
Well I will give you this: you would know.

Nah, I don't deny that I am a hypocrite every single day. Sinner saved by Christ's grace. I screw up all the time. The difference is, I don't make a habit of calling out other people for being hypocrites regarding the very thing I am guilty of on that thread.

And we will continue to disagree that calling out a president for vicious personal attacks on the wives of opponents is in any way hypocritical. Sometimes we have to speak up for what's right. It's a shame you believe that to be hypocritical.

It's remarkable how confident you are that Trump will play nice if he loses the primary. It's almost as if you're ignoring all evidence to the contrary. After he lost the 2020 election, he didn't do much of anything to help Georgian Republicans get elected. And since that time he regularly attacks republicans he has deems disloyal. And of course we have the 2020 election denial nonsense. The idea that he'll play nice if he loses the primary is very much in doubt.

You are correct, sir!

Trump will burn it all down if he loses. He will do worse than Perot. He won't create a third party, a choice for his supporters. No, he will get them NOT to vote, while trashing every GOP candidate. Basically handing it over to the Dems.

Trump has gone from a breath of fresh air in 2016, a business negotiating approach to governance to a spoiled, temper tantrum child in 2020 to a malevolent force in 2023. Sad to watch, the one thing I didn't discern from Trump at the beginning was this malevolence, wishing ill will approach.

The President needs to unite and lift the nation, not create a Putin-esque fear of reprisal for ever move that is not in line with the party line. Sadly, that is where we are. Make fun of Reagan's Shining City on the Hill, but give me that vision over the choices of the visions Biden and Trump have shown...

I was really hoping the Nation had enough after the Jan 6th fiasco and was ready to get back to some level of normalcy. But, I am not seeing it. It has reached the point where we can't even discuss without it becoming fodder for discrediting. Case in Point - Haley and SS age. I think that is a great policy discussion based on changing data from the last time it was re-visited. All they did was turn it into campaign discrediting movement. At least she is talking real issues.

No way he supports DeSantis. He considers disloyalty the greatest sin. To endorse DeSantis if he loses the primary would be the ultimate humiliation. Anyone who thinks Trump is in this for anyone but Trump simply hasn't been paying attention the last 6 years.

Of course it's rare that whiterock is actually right. Can't remember the last time one of his predictions was accurate. He's regularly wrong in his prognostications.

You are right. Trump is going to turn on DeSantis, Haley, Pence, and Pompeo.

I am starting to believe the only one that can take him on is someone like Georgia or Texas's Governors. As they really were never in "his camp".

Trump is the worst thing to happen to American politics since Eugene McCarthy. He makes Nixon look honorable and sympathetic.

I am going to float a theory. Trump and his personality allowed the Left to forward the Progressive/Socialist agenda. Trump is SO unlikeable to the moderates and independents that Trump allowed the Left to take risks and win that they never dreamed possible in America. Because of Trump and January 6th, Biden, Pelosi, AOC, Shumer are able to move their agenda light years ahead of where they thought they could be.

If any other President were in place, even Hillary, we would not be in this mess. A Reagan, Bush Sr, Clinton, and even W (who I disagreed with some of his stuff on Iraq, but was likable) they would not be able to advance this crap we are seeing Trump is a God Send to the left.

Would have the same result and give Dems the White House. Trump just may do it out of arrogance and spite.
I don't think so. Trump would be easy to marginalize as he doesn't have the gravitas of Perot and is devoid of integrity. It would, I agree, create a ton of chaos. It would give the Jackasses the edge, no doubt, by its distractions and that is where the Elephants have been vulnerable.

And unlike Sam, I think Trump runs solely on ego, with $$ greed only as icing on his cake of "self".

I think your theory is spot on. During the Trump admin, we saw companies and politicians going completely woke. BLM riots etc. democrat candidates pushing ideas that up until that point were so far outside the mainstream only the extreme leftists would touch it.

Now we are seeing the rebound from wokeism. People are starting to see what utter bullsh it was. No doubt trump was the perfect candidate to galvanize the Dems and push their agenda forward

You (and many others here & elsewhere) wanted him to disappear, remember?

Facts are facts. While President, his support for party operations and candidates was strong. As a result, his support within the party is strong. He's played very good team ball, including with opposing factions, to include staying away when asked and playing nicely with establishment types and others who had harshly criticized him in the past. Reality is, there is nothing in his record to suggest that he will burn down the party or run third-party should he lose the nomination. Such would cost him influence and gain him nothing. Actually would increase the power of the people harassing him with lawfare.

Just pointing out the obvious = he's pragmatic and plays the party game well. No evidence at all that he will do what you fear, so perhaps your fears have more to do with campaign memes than reality.....

Trump pragmatic? My god man you've told some whoppers on this board before but that's got to be the biggest. His actions demonstrate the opposite of someone willing to deal with a matter reasonably and sensibly. He's a loose canon - the opposite of pragmatism.

As for being asked to stay away, he was not asked to stay away in GA in 2020. He was asked to help the candidates and he did pretty much nothing.

There's a reason people keep asking whether he will run third party. It's because there's plenty of evidence he could do so if he loses. He doesn't go down quietly as 2020 demonstrated and isn't willing to play nice when he loses. He'll burn it down if he loses. Wait and see.

The list of examples of his pragmatism in party politics is long. He played will with people who by your assessment he should have ground to dust - Cruz and Graham and etc.......appointed Mitch's wife to the cabinet, supported Romney's niece as party chair, endorsed McCarthy (an establishmentarian), etc.....

You (and many others) are imputing your own negative assessments about his character into an assertion which is flatly at odds with his time in office. If that is not the case, then show us. Show us where he slashed & burned just to slash & burn. Show us where someone inside the party willing to work cooperatively with him was roughed up for the sake of the blood & gore.

the 3rd party thing, the "he'll blow it up if he doesn't control it" thing......that's neverTrumper projection, pure & simple. The Sheriff Bart routine is all they got, all day, every day....

He was asked not to help, remember?

Ah, of course. No one gets hurt as long we "cooperate."

In fact, according to sources close to the campaigns, people in and around the White House, including the president's lawyer former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani, put near-constant pressure on the two Georgia Republicans, David Perdue and Kelly Loeffler, to shape their runoff campaigns around his demands.

"It was a hostage situation every day," said one Republican strategist familiar with the campaigns who only agreed to speak on the condition of anonymity.

"We were always trying to guard against the tweet [from Trump]," the strategist said.

"Every week we had some new sort of demand," said another strategist involved with the campaigns. "Calling for the hand recount. The signature match. A special session. $2,000 [coronavirus relief] checks. Objecting to the electors."

"It was, 'If you do not do this, the president will actively work against you and you will lose,' " he recalled.

As will they all. He roughed up Ted Cruz as the primary wound down, but spun on a dime and played nicely when Ted came on board. And he never held prior comments against most of the GOP elected class. Worked very well with them.....supported them, etc.....

Perhaps no attack on Trump is more at odds with his actual record than this particular question.

Why would he go scorched earth after the primary? He won. It's when he doesn't get what he wants that people worry about him. And they do worry. I think you're in a bit of denial about that.

You've never been involved in politics, apparently. Hint: Part in bold is how everybody plays it.
But Trump will actually do it.

Trump ran people out of office even though it cost Republicans several senate seats, see AZ, GA, and NH

Will Trump endorse the Republican nominee for president in 2024?
Everything we've seen in his approach to party politics indicates he would, should it come to that.

the 3rd party thing, the "he'll blow it up if he doesn't control it" thing......that's neverTrumper projection, pure & simple. The Sheriff Bart routine is all they got, all day, every day....

He was asked not to help, remember?

Objecting to the electors."

nope.. Trump doesnt vote in any of those states. The voters did that, just like the voters elected Joe Biden.

The republicans cost those seats thru internal fighting during a time of ground swell towards replublicans. Unitl there is unity, the Dems will rule washington, its that simple. A split Dem party brought you Trump and now a split GOP brought you the current congress and Biden.

Why would he go scorched earth after the primary? He won. It's when he doesn't get what he wants that people worry about him. And they do worry. I think you're in a bit of denial about that.

Here we see Sam implying that party loyalty happens organically, with no carrot & stick play at all.

Sigh. He didn't say that.

"If we don't solve the Presidential Election Fraud of 2020 (which we have thoroughly and conclusively documented), Republicans will not be voting in '22 or '24. It is the single most important thing for Republicans to do.."

He's making the obvious conclusion: if Republican leaders do not support election reforms, Republican voters (who do by wide margins distrust blue state election shenanigans) will give up on elections. That's not a request. It's reality.
