For sure if credit card interest is capped at 10% the approval process is going to be much more stringent and card maximums will go WAY down. A person they will lend $500 at 26% is simply not getting approved at 10%… and a person they will lend $5,000 to at 18% is now going to have a $1,000 limit.

But now let's talk about every other loan that isn't capped and is backed with physical items. So why cap credit cards but not homes, cars, business loans?
