There simply is no getting around the cult of personality.

I appreciate that DeSantis tried. But it's going to be Trump again for the loss.

Let's just hope he's dead and buried come 2028.
It's Trump's World, We're Just Living in It
On the menu today: Donald Trump wins big, Ron DeSantis and Nikki Haley limp along, Vivek Ramaswamy calls it quits after a lot of last-minute boasting, and for some reason, Asa Hutchinson is still here, having finished behind some guy whose name you probably won't recognize.
With 99 percent of the projected vote tabulated, the 2024 Iowa caucuses ended with Donald Trump winning 51 percent, Ron DeSantis with 21.2 percent, Nikki Haley with 19.1 percent, Vivek Ramaswamy with 7.7 percent, and Asa Hutchinson with two-tenths of 1 percent, or 191 votes.*

Yep

Reminds me when old white guy McCain got the Republican nomination. Anyone with eyes should have been able to see that he would stand no chance against the younger novelty running with full on media adoration.

At least McCain was a good, decent , well spoken man.

Trump will go into full freak out mode long before Election Day.

Going to be sickening.

Poll: Majority of Iowa GOP caucus-goers don't believe Biden legitimately won in 2020
Preliminary Iowa Republican caucus entrance polls on Monday highlighted the grip former president Donald Trump maintains on Republican voters and the extent to which his false claims that the 2020 election was rigged have dominated the GOP electorate.

Nearly two-thirds of Iowa caucus-goers said President Biden did not legitimately win the election in 2020, according to results from network entrance polls conducted by Edison Research.
Those numbers come as Trump has made false claims surrounding the 2020 election a key part of his stump speechand his bid for a return to the White House. During a campaign event in Indianola, Iowa, this weekend ahead of his caucus victory Monday night, Trump declared that "radical-left Democrats rigged the presidential election of 2020, and we are not going to allow them to rig the presidential election of 2024."

There is no evidence of widespread voter fraud in the 2020 election, and challenges to myriad election-related issues have been repudiated more than 60 times in court.

Do I believe Joe Biden garnered 15 million votes more than Barrack Obama with a campaign of limited public appearances and minimal enthusiasm ?

Of course not.

But since I can not prove widespread election fraud…….he did.

I understand that.

That's why one has to presume Biden somehow garnered 81 million votes from living breathing voters.

Of course Kennedy carried Illinois in 1960 and won the presidency.

As it was never 'proven' that the Democrat machine in Chicago
generated thousands of votes from their cemeteries.

That is a little bit of stretch...he left is first wife and started taking with with Cindy (beer fortune heiress) when she was 18 years old...married her by age 25

He also never met a war he did not want to get American boys involved in...

[But there is another Mrs. McCain who casts a ghostly shadow over the Senator's presidential campaign. She is seldom seen and rarely written about, despite being mother to McCain's three eldest children...But when McCain returned to America in 1973 to a fanfare of publicity and a handshake from Richard Nixon, he discovered his wife had been disfigured in a terrible car crash three years earlier. Her car had skidded on icy roads into a telegraph pole on Christmas Eve, 1969. Her pelvis and one arm were shattered by the impact and she suffered massive internal injuries.

When Carol was discharged from hospital after six months of life-saving surgery, the prognosis was bleak. In order to save her legs, surgeons had been forced to cut away huge sections of shattered bone, taking with it her tall, willowy figure. She was confined to a wheelchair and was forced to use a catheter.

Through sheer hard work, Carol learned to walk again. But when John McCain came home from Vietnam, she had gained a lot of weight and bore little resemblance to her old self.

Today, she stands at just 5ft 4in and still walks awkwardly, with a pronounced limp. Her body is held together by screws and metal plates and, at 70...she told The Mail on Sunday how McCain divorced her in 1980 and married Cindy, 18 years his junior and the heir to an Arizona brewing fortune, just one month later.]

Interesting side not...it was none other than our own incompetent in Chief Joe Biden who helped hook up McCain with his 2nd very young wife.

Old Joe and John were good friends...that says a lot

["Matter of fact, I introduced him to his wife." The two were traveling to Japan and stopped in Hawaii in April 1979 where, at a military reception in Honolulu, John met Cindy, who was on a family vacation. "We were going to Japan and we stopped in Hawaii]

COVID driven special voting provisions were the difference in 2020, particularly absentee balloting. I'd argue that as much as anything constituted fraud, particularly when you have ineffective signature validation procedures and resources when you have a 5 fold increase in mail in balloting. You also had a heavy break toward the Democrat in absentee voting whereas that was not traditionally the case in past elections. It cost David Perdue his Senate seat in Georgia for sure.

A lot of Democrats didn't and don't believe that George Bush legitimately won in 2000, but fortunately they are Democrats and so can believe that without being excoriated by the national media.
Or without attacking Congress.

There simply is no getting around the cult of personality.

I appreciate that DeSantis tried. But it's going to be Trump again for the loss.

Yep

Reminds me when old white guy McCain got the Republican nomination. Anyone with eyes should have been able to see that he would stand no chance against the younger novelty running as a media caressed incumbent.

At least McCain was a good, decent , well spoken man.

Do I believe Joe Biden garnered 15 million votes more than Barrack Obama with a campaign of limited public appearances and minimal enthusiasm ?

Of course not.

But since I can not prove widespread election fraud…….he did.

that last part is not true.. dig deeper on the court cases.

It was never about the fraud, it was always about getting away with using non legislature written election rules.

A bit of a magicians trick, but played out to perfection..
A relatively minor issue which wouldn't have changed the result, but way to hustle with those goalposts!
we only broke the law a little but its ok
Sorry, were we arguing whether it's okay or whether it was widespread enough to make a difference? I think that was the original point. But you keep hustling!

You realize this is an explicitly fascist concept…that the will of "the people" is embodied in a certain leader who can therefore do no wrong.

we are not arguing whether it was wide spread enough to make a difference. That is a fact. Every contested state did it, several uncontested states did it. There are literal cases showing they did things incorrectly and came to the conclusion there was no ability to correct, not that it wouldnt have changed the outcome. Those are measurably different.

There are several here that were on the ground in contested states and they will tell you that they didnt want to effect down ballot outcomes by chainging anything and there was zero push by Trumps team in this direction so it was easy to not do anything.

Whatever makes you feel better counselor.. most safe secure and fair election ever

the will of the people isnt always right but it is the will of the people.. in a govt of the people, by the people, for the people..

It isnt a fascist concept, its a representative republic concept. The peoples vote gives him power and they can take it away

That's one really weak excuse you have there, Mothra.
Did I make an excuse? If so, that wasn't my intention. I couldn't care less what Trump's sycophants think, nor am I afraid of offending them, as you are.
Well, if you don't mind acting like an ass, you do you.
Why is disagreeing considered like "acting like an ass" on this site? Why come to a political message board and then insult those that disagree with you? I thought it was about discussion, discourse and opposing views.
Are you looking for a group to tell you that you are right?
Is someone looking for affirmation?
