Here is a place to start. The dems and media colluded to promote lies and disinformation about the Dobbs decision and the laws in states life Texas.
They deserve to be thrown in jail.

They deserve to be thrown in jail for concerns about women dying from miscarriages.

Duly noted.

Ok Sam, name one state which made it illegal for doctors to address miscarriages.

(Planned Parenthood is not a valid source on this one btw, nor is The View)
Eye on the ball, please. The question is whether they should be thrown in jail for speech.

BTW, recall that you were outraged by the federal government's proposal to label misinformation, never mind punishing it.
No Sam, you were selling the lie that the law prevented women from getting medical help they needed.

You lied and got called out on it.

I get it, you are mad about losing Roe v Wade, but stop lying about it, you are not very good at it anyway.

The Government was trying to label opinions as disinformation. That was a major problem.
In this case, it is clearly false information, aka - lies.
It wasn't a lie to say that the Vax might be harmful and also might be ineffective.
It is 100% a lie to tell people that the state will arrest you for a miscarriage, or arrest a doctor for treating a pregnant woman who is in the midst of a miscarriage.
One thing is a difference of opinion while the other is an objective lie.

It's sad that you can't understand the difference.

It should 100% be a crime to lie about the law, electoral when lying about the law will lead to someones death.

So it's a yes on jail time for misinformation, and you don't know the difference between fact and opinion.

This just gets better and better.

If someone tells you that murder is legal... is that opinion or a lie?

You are such an idiot.
The question is NOT if someone should be jailed over an opinion.
The question is if someone should be jailed for lying about the law in such a way that leads to death.
The law is unambiguous. It is clear and objective. When someone lies about the law and it results in death... that person should go to jail.
It's not opinion when you tell a lie about the law. It's just a lie. When you tell a lie that leads people to their death... that should be a crime.

How sure are you that Cornyn/Thune won't be made majority leader on a secret vote in Wednesday and go on to use Democrat votes in the Senate to obstruct most of the legislative MAGA agenda and ensure that no government agencies are shut down or brought to heel? And in such a scenario with nothing but executive orders and a continuing open border that the Dems don't retake congress in two years and impeach him again?

We are not even a week from the biggest landslide presidential election since Reagan/Mondale and Pentagon officials are having meetings on how to obstruct his agenda.

Given the four years we have just lived through, I am not in favor of giving the government any authority to determine what is a lie and put people in prison for it.

But you are right, the media must be punished...so here is a free market solution to the problem. The FCC (or Congress) bans content cable, satellite, and streaming companies from bundling channels. You have to individually select and pay for each channel you add to your package, and each channel must be priced at or above cost.

Under such a system, CNN, MSNBC, ABC, CBS, and NBC only end up on the televisions of people who deliberately choose and pay for them...and they lose their subsidy and viewership.

The govt never had authority to imprison people for levels, or determining what they are arbitrarily. That's very Orwellian! The first amendment still is the authority in such issues. In fact, this kind of political tyranny is why we have 1A & 2A.

I did not realize those FCC rules existed. It definitely is time for a La carte TV channels.
