You're making the same miscalculation that you make on demographics of Russia & Ukraine. Doesn't matter where things will be 50-100yrs from now, or even a decade. You have to make it work day by day. And if you don't gear up your policies to win for today & tomorrow, you won't make it to the 50-100yr timeframe.

China wins almost all the wargames done at DOD........ Granted, the wargaming is done for long-term planning to identify FUTURE threats and shortcomings, to give us head start on technology and procurement, but it does show that China is in most senses of the term a peer-rival. And they're perhaps a bit more than that in the first island chain.

I disagree. The left counts on the right to be true to itself and simply turn the other cheek. They know the right would never sic the DOJ on their political opponents - so the left does. They know the right would never send the FBI to grandma's house to make arrests for political speech - so the left does. They know the right would never engage in lawfare - so the left does. They know the right would never censor political speech - so the left does.

Accordingly, the only way to stop the left is to use their tactics. Every liberal that supported these measures should be afraid - deeply afraid. That is how we emerge from the banana republic the left caused.

You simply cannot be nice to someone that thinks you are garbage.
You have just cited the central dysfunction in our republic - a co-dependent relationship where Dems can do whatever they want and we make it work....where Dems have no fear of creating messes because they know Republicans will not only fell obligated to fix those messes, but spend it's own political capital while incurring blizzards of opprobrium to do so.

Without the expectation of reciprocity there can be no deterrence. The left MUST fear that anything they do to us WILL be done to them. Without that, bi-partisan detente will be elusive.

Correction: the Left must be held accountable and fear the repercussions of their actions. They have done many unethical & illegal things that must be corrected, including punishing the guilt. But we should never sink to their level & do all of the same things. They still own the MSM and we should need feed their propaganda. They should be forced to lie which can be exposed.
