You say " collapse of the central government" as if that was a bad thing. I believe we are very much at a point where collapse would be preferable to a further leftward move.
While a very small minority is upset, the large majority isnt.
Things can change very vast.
You would have been called a fool to say the USSR was going to collapse in 1979 when the Soviets invaded Afghanistan to prop up a communist governmentβ¦.by 1991 the largest nation on earth and 2nd most powerful superpower was gone.
You would have been called a fool in 1913 to predict the collapse of the British Empire (largest empire in history that covered 13.01 million square miles of land - more than 22% of the earth's landmass. The empire had 458 million people). Yet it was bankrupt, with insolvency only barely averted by 1946 and the Empire basically totally dissolved by the 1960s.
