Have abortions been stopped. I thought the law was changed from federal control to state control.

I think Trump did a poor job warning America about the virus. He said he had it all under control. He said it would disappear in warmer weather. Nothing to worry about. He did get the shots out earlier than i though was possible. I was thankful for that.


His tarriffs were just extra taxes to support unions at everyome elses expense. He said Mexico would pay for his wall. Instead he took money from the military. He handled defeat in the election like a two year old.

I think America can do better.

A good crowd, apparently. Traffic was terrible. Mother lives 7 miles away, near the airport and she was 30 minutes late getting to the house for a 1:30 lunch party for my first grandkid.

Have seen on Facebook a few pictures of attendees I know. Texted a few others, got some amusing responses (none attended). One friend who watched the whole thing live (and will be voting Trump) thought the speech rambled a bit. I responded "that's his schtick!" He laughed. Watched a couple of minutes of it later in the evening to get a sense of it, nothing new. Saw our McLennan County GOP chairman was there, but otherwise thought the number and list of electeds introduced was weak. One elected official I texted was at a country music event where his (pistol packing right wing) wife was performing on stage, and he was very glad to have a good excuse for not going.

love him or hate him, Trump knows how to be larger than life. He's been pulling off these events for a LOT of years. One would think they were just a 2016 fad and would have died out years ago. But he manages to keep people coming back for more.

Rallies are nice but it comes down to how many ballots one side can acquire and scan into the system during the election season. In some areas Democrats don't bother to campaign or do debates. They name their candidate, activate their ballot acquisition ground game and "win".

We've only see nukes used once in history. It's improbable that one will be used regardless of who is the president.

Having said that, I'd rather Biden make the call than Trump.

Biden has never threatened nukes. Trump considers nukes proof of his power.

Yes, foreign policy matters. Trump's administration created peace around the world. A compliant Russia and China, (until China released Covid), peace accords signed in the Middle East... it was all so terrible. This proxy war with Russia and now China is SO much better. I won't be voting for Trump. Let's get a good candidate in the R primary.
Well, if he ends up being the candidate, then a non-vote by people who feel as you do will undoubtedly result in another Biden. If of course we don't get into a nuclear war by then, in which case all bets are off.


We've only see nukes used once in history. It's improbable that one will be used regardless of who is the president.

Having said that, I'd rather Biden make the call than Trump.

Biden has never threatened nukes. Trump considers nukes proof of his power.
There's a second time for everything.

I'd prefer not to have the president who got us into this scenario making any decision regarding the use of nukes. It's doubtful we would be here if Trump had won.

Trump has proven a lot of things, and many of them are bad. One of the things he has proven is he can't win a general election with MAGA only.

I don't find DeSantis particularly slick or handsome. But I do consider him smart, and with a backbone. He also doesn't appear to be a narcissist who lacks the ability to control his worse impulses, as Trump.

Trump got more votes than any sitting Republican President ever. Covid/mail in ballots/ ballot box stuffing/cheating were the difference. 60,000 votes less for Biden in tossup states gives Trump a victory or a Electoral vote tie which sends it to the House of Representatives. Election was stolen and Dems cheated.

We had more eligible voters in 2020 than in any prior presidential election. Thus, it should be no surprise at all that many people voted for Trump (and Biden). The independents and moderates largely didn't support Trump in 2020.

Don't disagree that there were shenanigans. But he still lost, and there's no reason to think 2024 will be any different. That being the case, no reason to nominate the loser of the last election.

Not only will Trump get less support from the Republican base this time, he's like Black Friday deals for the opposition. He's toast, and the sooner we stop living in the past of that no longer existent Donald Trump candidate, the better for everyone.

I figured. As a conservative, I believe it's insane that any self-described conservative would prefer woke policy to Trump, and believe in truth you're conservative in name only, but we've been over this ad nauseum. No need to rehash.
