The effort to normalize the absurd and mentally ill has many ramifications.
so is it the effort to normalize you are concerned with or the actual execution of the normalization?

It's one in the same.

Given the "progress" the effort has made in this instance, it would appear to be one and the same.

Ok, that's fair. I'd still argue that the execution side of the equation has not really played out yet.

People who are not accepting of their own body, but think I should be accepting of their non-acceptance is a bit silly.

When you have women losing out on what they earned in sports because some enlightened idiots decided to let men compete against them, it is executed enough.

When you've abandoned science and mental health standards, and consider "affirming" care the act of permanently altering an undeveloped human being, I'd argue you've reached the pinnacle of execution.

Companies advertise to (potential) customers. Insulting your customers is not a smart move.

Showing men in beards as the equivalent of biological females is pretty stupid.
i get that it's not that smart from a marketing perspective, but people seem to lose their **** when Bud Light, Target, etc. put out these ads. I don't really get that.

If you really can't understand that, you might not be the smartest rock in the box.
oh, so the smartest rock goes and buys $500 bucks worth of bud light just to shoot it? If so, that's not a box i want to be in. you can handle that.
while shooting $500 worth of Bud Light isn't my cup of tea, it didn't affect me. How did it affect you?

Is this a two-way street or isn't it?

Nothing to do with buying $500 of Bud Light and shooting it. If you can't understand why people don't like these ads, you are not particularly bright. I didn't say you had to agree with them, but to not understand what's going on is just not very bright.

Having said that, his video garnered at least $20 million views. Let's assume he spend some money on the ammunition and the gun as well as the cheap beer. You can make $2,000 to $15,000 per million views on YouTube.
Let's take the low end. 20 million views x $2,000 comes out to about $40,000. Less $500 for the beer and $500 for the ammo he still made, on the low end, more with a half minute video than most Americans make in a year.
ok, i will try again and perhaps type slower for you so you can understand. I asked how it affects your life, not why people don't like them. If you can't understand that, maybe just don't answer.

I guess it really it true that women need a man to tell them what to do.

Calvin Klein uses bearded trans man to advertise sports bra

(Between me and you, I'm never gonna buy that bra)

And for Budweiser to get my money, they're gonna have to sell me a Modelo or a Corona or a Stella.
I think it's more like a "bro" than a bra.

I'm just not concerned with Dylan mc peenvags' one sixer of beer being seen by my kids trying to seek out 75 flavors of Gatorade at the local 711.

My AR-15 has never jumped up and killed anyone! He just sits there in the box. The only reason I purchased him was because Joe Biden and Beto said I couldn't have one.

For the record, I am all in favor of raising the age to buy AR-15s and AK-47s from 18 to 21 years. I also think more comprehensive background checks would be a good thing. Even if the buyer has to wait 1- 2 weeks to possess the weapon. Not sure why my Republican brethren are not on board. Common sense.

It is your right, and I'm glad you're exercising it. If you don't like what they are portraying then don't buy it or shop there.

I'm just not concerned with Dylan mc peenvags' one sixer of beer being seen by my kids trying to seek out 75 flavors of Gatorade at the local 711.
That should more than cover the colors on the LBGTQ+ flag. Tell your kiddos and their friends to be safe!

As long as there are no local AR 15s!

Joe and Beto aren't a threat to take your guns. Trust me, if Obama didn't then you are good.
I know. Obama supplied American made weapons to the Mexican cartels that cost American lives. I am good.

So did trump. So we are all screwed?
No, Fast and Furious was Obama's baby. Try again. Use facts this time.
Our vibrations were getting nasty. But why? I was puzzled, frustrated... Had we deteriorated to the level of dumb beasts?

Companies advertise to (potential) customers. Insulting your customers is not a smart move.

Showing men in beards as the equivalent of biological females is pretty stupid.
i get that it's not that smart from a marketing perspective, but people seem to lose their **** when Bud Light, Target, etc. put out these ads. I don't really get that.
Do you have children ?

I do.
Then I am surprised you don't see the problem.

We stopped going to Target back in 2016 when they came out and said that men could use the women's room. I had a young daughter and wasn't about spend time at Target with a risk of her needing to use the bathroom.

Haven't stepped foot Tar-jay in 7 years.

Ah yes, the usual suspects triggered by these types of posts...

Calm down, little guy. It's called capitalism.
no bruh, just a simple question. But as usual, you can't answer the question and resort to name calling like your deal leader.

There are lots of ways pushing social agendas affect people, especially campaigns aimed at children. That's pretty elementary.
Bud light and calvin klein are aimed at kids? Huh.
I don't think I said or suggested that. Target's campaign certainly was aimed at children. Perhaps you were unaware of that.

As a purported "conservative," it's quite odd you have a problem with conservatives speaking out against liberal social agendas.
Geez I hate to wade in but it is not a "liberal social agenda" It is honoring the gender identity of all people.
Affirming someone's delusion is not "honoring" them.

Good information , thank you .

Wasn't aware of Target's bathroom policy.

Never would have believed these woke issues would have garnered so much corporate support.

If you really can't understand that, you might not be the smartest rock in the box.
oh, so the smartest rock goes and buys $500 bucks worth of bud light just to shoot it? If so, that's not a box i want to be in. you can handle that.

We don't want our grandchildren sodomized

Then be a parent or let bud light take over.
We are. Speaking out against such ideas IS being a parent and standing up for one's children.

There is certainly a lot of unwarranted outrage over ads like this. Personally it's a little disgusting, it bewilders me, and I will probably avoid Calvin Klein products from now on, but some of you take it far beyond that. I also think this woman mutilated her body, but I can't be certain that he/she/they isn't happy. This is adults exercising freedoms. Not an opportunity to trash people.

It is easy for disgust to turn into hate, and that leads to problems. It sort of justifies the trans lifestyle in these people's minds. In some weird way. I think it's good to talk of the harm mutilating one's body can bring, but we can do that while still respecting these human beings. Someone trying to change genders doesn't need hate, they need help.

This is well said. There is most definitely an agenda to normalize this kind of conduct, and it is often times aimed at our children, which I think is horrid. I think we can be rightly angered by that agenda. But if we let it turn to hatred for those we disagree with, then we only galvanize their attitudes toward us and their behavior.

And for those of us who call ourselves Christian, it is violating Christ's second greatest command.

Can we be outraged? Can we draw the line somewhere?
