The president of Turkey has certainly spoken his objections to the carriers.

Really think it was just a random comment ?

Hamas could surrender. They've had the opportunity to surrender for a decade. And proportionality is the dumbest argument, especially in asymmetrical warfare.

It would be the wisest course of action for them to take. And they know Israel would give them much better terms then they would give to Israel if the roles were reversed. But we are not talking about rational people they're essentially modern-day Nazis. You cannot reason with such people. You cannot negotiate. It would be an exercise in futility.

Hamas surrendering would be the best thing they could do to get a homeland. But, if the goal is also the destruction of Israel, not so much.

The Palestinians could also rise up and kick out Hamas. They would gain a fantastic amount of support from all over if they did. Might even give them a chance to form more productive relations with Israel and Egypt and give their families a chance to live a decent life.

Unfortunately, Hamas has had control of the education of this generation of Palestinians. They likely need de-hamasification.

Exactly right. They won't do the smart thing because they are obsessed in their hatred.

Bingo!

There is no such thing as "Islamophobia". A reading of the Koran makes it very clear that it isn't possible to have an exaggerated or unrealistic sense of danger about Islam. It is a religion based on terror, brutality and evil.

Maybe bc they were busy with Bibi's plans to use the US military to clear our their other enemies in the region at that time. Go read the Clean Break memo where Neatanyahu and other Zio-Neocons planned the entire Iraq, Syria conflicts in the 90s.

Netanyahu seems to be the main mover in America's official adoption of the 1996 white paper A Clean Break, authored by him and American fellow neocons, which aimed to aggressively remake the strategic environments of Iraq, Palestine, Lebanon, Syria, and Iran. As they say in boxing circles, three down, two to go.

Israel's exploitation of Palestinian natural resources, including oil and natural gas, imposes on the Palestinian people enormous costs that escalate as the occupation remains in effect, the study cautions.

It highlights the peculiarities of oil and natural gas as non-renewable resources, arguing that current generations are not necessarily the only owners of these resources that straddle national borders and can thus be jointly owned by multiple states and generations.

Ariel Sharon was Prime Minister of Israel when the IDF removed the remaining inhabitants of Gush Katif in 2005. At one point, Gush Katif provided Israel with about 70% of its produce. Not exactly something you give up on a whim.

It's Islamism and it permeates the Arab world unfortunately.

Islamists always have the moral high ground on Islamic society. They are not theologically twisting or contorting the Koran. They are merely doing what it instructs. To oppose the islamists, then, is to oppose islam itself. That's a pretty tall hurdle for a klatch of disaffected housewives and grumpy old men.

That does not sound correct.

"Of Israel's exports abroad, Gush Katif exported to Europe 95% of the bug-free lettuce and greens, 70% of the organic vegetables"

It looks like that 70% number was exports to Europe…not 70% of the total produce that Israel actual grows for itself

Point stands that it was the correct call to pull 6,000 settlers out of Gaza and it cost close to $3 billion

A pricey but correct call
