There are several good sources of news outside the Ministry of Propaganda (mainstream media) but one still must go through it carefully to understand the biases of the writers & editors while realizing they may be lying or just wrong. I prefer to use multiple sources, some that I have found trustworthy.

No. There isn't. Because one source for anything of this scale isn't enough. Youre going to need to read 3-4-5 sources, wait 24-48 hours and read them again to form your opinion.

Sadly, that's not at all how humans work. Especially when you consider the average human is a GD moron.

Every war has three sides: the two combatants and the truth. This latest episode with the hospital in Gaza illustrates that. Remember that Clinton denied bombing an aspirin factory, Biden denied bombing a birthday party, and the Syrians were falsely accused of using chemical weapons.

Oh, and there was Baby Bush using Iraqi WMDs as a causes belli with the support of a then former Israeli PM who has now been reelected.

The only way to win is not to play.

Biden convinced the previous government to give a bunch of Gazans work permits. That is how Hamas gained intelligence about the kibbutz and other places they attacked.

My gut feeling is the Syrian government DID use chemical weapons on the rebels at least on some occasions.

But there are still open questions about that and it's hard to prove.

His point was about the disinformation of war.

The West has a interest in using/spreading info that is anti-Assad (for understandable reasons) while Syria has every reason to deny it every does anything wrong.

Except they did.

I think that is a perfect illustration of the fog of war and war propaganda.

AP (reputable source) running articles saying Syria did use chemical gas, then runs articles saying reports show they didn't, then 10 years later tells us they have proof that they did use gas after all.

That about sums up War.

Reminds me of the Katyn massacre. The Nazis claimed the Soviets killed 22,000 Poles, then the Soviets spread claims around the world that it was the Nazis that did it and tried to put them on trial at Nuremburg for it, then later Western sources confirm it was the Soviets all along.

[The Katyn massacre was a series of mass executions of nearly 22,000 Polish military officers and intelligentsia prisoners of war carried out by the Soviet Union, specifically the NKVD ("People's Commissariat for Internal Affairs", the Soviet secret police) in April and May 1940]

I did. So, how do you prove it? I said I have no idea, the Hague says there is no proof. Mattis said we have no proof. Was anyone in the US military there to investigate or clean it up? An old AP article is not proof. WaPo won't open. So many just make decisions on stuff without information. Or, just disregard what investigators found.

As I said, anyone on here serve in Syria? They would know. You took my asking for personal experience as a shot at you, when I am serious.

I want to hear from people that were there in the US Military. Too many factions over there to just take articles at face value. I trust UN Peacekeepers, we did that when I was in the 82nd (Sinai. My Brigade didn't go, but I had friends that did.). So I know those guys don't mess around.

It's been proven over and over and I presented the evidence. There's more out there in the OSINT community too. Sorry if you don't believe an angel like Assad would do that, but it's pretty much true.

Also look at the dates of the articles and which attacks were being investigated.

Ok, so how does it go from being able to prove Chemical Use by Syria to thinking Assad is an angel? Huge jump from one to the other. What in the Middle East is easy to prove? What in the Middle East is ever 'clear cut"? Have you been there?

Have you ever sat in Saudi or Lebanon and tried to discuss something to determine what happened? Who did what? I have, it is close to impossible to get a clear picture of anything. Everything has three views political, religious and what really happened.

The only reason the investigation we worked on was resolved was a paper trail and it was an American, so we could resolve it. Even if they didn't, Assad deserved the Cruise Missiles just on principle...

Like the posts are not....I really would not be so sure that guy is running his own twitter account

[Stroke-surviving Sen. John Fetterman (D-Pa.) was struggling to adjust to high office even before his most recent health scare this week, a new report revealed Friday.
According to the New York Times, the 53-year-old sometimes struggles to hear people's voices clearly comparing it to the muffled words of Charlie Brown's teacher in "Peanuts."

Fetterman's difficulties with auditory processing get noticeably worse when he's stressed or in an unfamiliar situation, the report added.

The former Pennsylvania lieutenant governor was left with hearing and other cognitive issues after suffering a stroke in May last year, just before the Keystone State's Democratic Senate primary.
For example, Fetterman now carries a tablet around with him that has closed captioning capabilities so he can read whatever people are saying to him.

A closed captioning monitor has also been installed at his desk in the Senate chamber so he can follow along with proceedings.]

I've been thinking about Karyn lately, in the wake of the Hamas terrorist attacks & the hospital that Israel did NOT attack.

For those who are unaware, the NKVD was the forerunner of the KGB.

Right. The previous Israeli administration gave a bunch of Gazans work permits which allowed them to leave Gaza and enter Israel. That is how HAMAS gained intelligence for the attacks. Some of the terrorists knew the families on the kibbutzim, knew which families had children, and which families had dogs. We are cutting our own throats by failing to secure our border and have controlled, merit-based immigration policies.

Hindenburg?

[Hindenburg appointed Hitler as Chancellor, who immediately urged the dissolution of the Reichstag...Six days before the scheduled election date, the German parliament building was set alight in the Reichstag fire, allegedly by the Dutch Communist Marinus van der Lubbe. That event reduced the popularity of the KPD and enabled Hitler to persuade Hindenburg to pass the Reichstag Fire Decree as an emergency decree according to Article 48 of the Weimar Constitution. The emergency law removed many civil liberties and allowed the arrest of Ernst Thlmann and 4,000 other leaders and members of the KPD...consolidating the position of the Nazis.]

People always seem to forget that the Nazis never won an election by a majority of the German electorate.

Highest vote count they ever got was 43% in 1933 general election....57% of the German voting population opposed them and voted for other parties.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/March_1933_German_federal_election

In the 1930 general election the Nazi party only got 18% of the vote.
