Heather Macdonald is one of my heroes. She more than anyone has proven time and again that the "cops murdering blacks" narrative is total BS.

But Chauvin got what he deserved. Totally unnecessary force that clearly contributed - whatever other conditions GF suffered from - to his death. Chauvin didn't have the balls to testify.
Honestly, seeking to understand how you reconcile these facts:
1. The coroner stated there was no injuries to Floyd's neck
2. Chauvin executed a restraint sanctioned by and trained by the MPD

Floyd was a 300+ lb., 6-foot+ gigantic man high as a kite with a history of violence who had been resisting arrest for more than 30 minutes. What force was exerted on him and if it was unnecessary, under what conditions would you consider restraining a subject necessary? Are there any?
He kneeled on his neck for over 9 minutes. That is outrageous. One of the most difficult videos I've ever watched.

1. The report said no "life threatening" injuries to the neck itself. But the report - and several others - determined that the neck restraint and compression caused the death. One of the foremost experts testified that a completely healthy person would have died (even though the burden was only to show it as contributing).
2. Chauvin's conduct was NOT sanctioned or trained. It was solely a short-term (usually "incidental"), "last" resort when all other restraints fail. GF was already cuffed and on the ground, and again, almost 10 freaking minutes. Multiple officers, including Chauvin's actual trainer, testified against him on that.
1. So does it seem rational to you that Chauvin kneeled supposedly on his neck for 10 minutes and there was not a single bruise or injury to Floyd's neck? Does that make sense? Have you seen the body cam footage? If you have, where is Chauvin's knee? The "expert" did not ever see Floyd's body and is a hired gun with a reputation of testifying to whatever is needed. I am not asking how you feel, I am asking what the evidence shows.

2. Do you think the training manual that shows the restraint as part of training is fake? Do you think Chauvin's trainer might have been influence by is superiors or potential threats on his life by the burn loot murder crowd? Do you think that might have influenced his testimony? His testimony was that there is not leg-neck restraint, but that assumes Chauvin's knee was on his kneck.
Yes, I've watched the videos several times. Chauvin kneeling on his neck is plain to see and nobody challenged it.

The lack of neck injury does not mean, air was not obstructed. That's basic science.

Have you read the excerpts from the training manual? It does not promote anything even close to what Chauvin did?

Sure, I guess it's possible every prosecution witness and medical examiner lied. But that's what trials are for. Chauvin sat and watched and decided not to tell his side of the story . . . whatever that would have been.
The more we continue to push that white people, cops and society is racist, the lower the bar for conviction will get.

We're teaching revenge.

Its what the lefties want and they're gonna have to deal with consequences. I hope hell rains down on them.

The makers of the documentary The Fall of Minneapolis were on the Megyn Kelly Show today.

They go through a lot of the disinformation and manipulation surrounding the Saint George Floyd case. The thesis is similar to the fake Michael Brown "hands up, don't shoot" and similar situations most of what the left-wing media portrayed was not supported by actual facts.

Clearly Derek Chauvin did not get a fair trial, and I have thought murder was way over-charged. Curious a couple years later if people have changed their minds at all about the case.

The things that quickly jumped out at me:
1. The autopsy that clearly states Floyd did not die of asphyxiation
2. The clear evidence the "hold" Chauvin employed was part of MPD training and the body cam footage that clearly shows he was not on his neck
3. The rulings by the judge that clearly shaped the evidence (not allowing FLoyd's history of drugs and violence, not allowing the the fact the cops called EMT well before the incident, etc.)
4. Saint Floyd's behavior both physically and lying to the police before Chauvin even arrived

I think you could add this incident to the long-line of disinformation foisted upon us by the regressive media and their brownshirts.

The Fall of Minneapolis documentary.

Basically a handful of cops were knowingly sacrificed in the attempt to limit looting, burning and killings nationwide.
And that attempt failed.

And became a model for the radical left.

Marxists and Anarchists are employing the same George Floyd Riot tactics today. And the MSM outlets have been giving them cover.

The Pro-Jihad / Death to Israel rioters are using George Floyd-inspired BLM style riots to attack government institutions, the DNC headquarters, the White House, the Capital - reports from at least one Democratic legislator said they were more frighted from the 10/7 protestors than the Jan 6 disgruntled tourists. That's an elected Democrat saying that.

That just feeds my point. The witness was a paid expert in a highly publicized trial where the outcome was determined before the first motion was filed. One can hire an expert witness to say the world is flat.

Correct. The pattern repeats:
- Disinformation
- Unleash the mobs
- Disinformation about the mobs

There was exponentially more damage and violence committed on Trump's inauguration, during the D.C. Burn Loot Murder riots, and the pro-Hams riots than Jan. 6, and it is not even close. But that is part of the disinformation game.

If it hadn't been GF's death it would have been someone else's that ignited the firestorm. The Defund The Cops movement and anti-cop press was primed and ready to move wherever/whenever.

Any attempt to explain the GF incident aftermath as an organic groundswell movement is a fool's errand.

BS. That video was horrific. It motivated people.

Absolutely. Videos like this are way more influential than anything else. We are such a visual species.

He might have died on his own 30 minutes later, but you just cannot kneel on a guy's neck for that long after he has ceased resisting. Even if Chauvin didn't kill him, it sure looked like he did, and I'm inclined to think he did. A lot of people do a lot of drugs and survive.

But when a Somali cop killed an unarmed White woman in Minneapolis we did not see riots or people in the media excusing the violence.

Only if Black Americans were not committing crimes at rates far exceeding other racial groups.

There is a very good argument, but not very PC one, that the USA is not locking up enough young black males given the rates of offense.

Blacks do commit more crime, im not arguing against statistics, just the notion that they get a free pass for their color of skin.

Since the summer of Floyd at the latest (really since 1960s liberalism became mainstream in American society) we have actually treated such a community with extreme leniency.

The idea that Black suspects and defendants are being treated harshly by our very liberal legal system is laughable.

It bends over backward NOT to send young black men to prison

Is that just what it looked like? I'll admit I barely watched it. Just seemed to crushing the guy's windpipe?

That's common disinformation. Saint George did not have scant a bruise on his neck.

Right, wrong, or indifferent, we are all safer with St. Floyd dead.

No we are not. His death was one of the major factors why this country has turned to **** at lightning speed!

I'm fine with holding offices of the law accountable.

But when a Somali cop killed an unarmed White woman in Minneapolis we did not see riots or people in the media excusing the violence.

Different standards now in the modern USA

America has basically given bleks a free pass to do whatever they want without consequence.

Blacks being incarcerated at a higher rate than any other race would seem to contradict this emotional statement.

That's legacy - today bleks basically can get away with murder as noted. Bleks always have committed exponentially more crimes per capita than other groups. so they were incarcerated at higher rates. Now we just let the run wild with impunity.

After Trump survives the left's insane lawfare tactics and ultimately becomes the '24 GOP nominee, I wonder what the next ginned up fake "atrocity" will be between now and November that the left will use as an excuse to unleash their "mostly peaceful" violent rent-a-mobs and again do all they can to intimidate any and all opposition - as they did in 2020.

"Democracy" will be the reason.

The autopsy said that the cause of death was homicide due to "cardiopulmonary arrest" from "law enforcement subdual, restraint, and neck compression."
Chauvin's defense attorney, Eric Nelson, has argued that Floyd died as a result of drugs and preexisting health conditions. And under cross examination, Baker said he believed those factors played a role.

"So in your opinion," Nelson asked, "both the heart disease as well as the history of hypertension and the drugs that were in his system played a role in Mr. Floyd's death?"

"In my opinion, yes," Baker said.

Mr Baker performed the autopsy.
At least you are consistent in failing to understand causes of death. For a while there I was afraid it was just a Covid thing.

That being said, I suspect Chauvin did not get a fair trial.

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-14198859/derek-chauvin-george-floyd-conviction-wins-permission.html

" Lawyers for Derek Chauvin, the disgraced Minneapolis cop convicted of murdering George Floyd back in 2020, have been granted permission to examine heart tissue and fluid samples taken from the victim's body."

" US District Judge Paul Magnuson granted the motion Monday, after attorneys argued it was a heart condition that claimed the 46-year-old victim's life, and not Chauvin's knee on his neck."

" His latest bid to have the conviction tossed cites 'ineffective assistance of counsel' from original defense attorney Eric Nelson, whom he says failed to relay to him a Kansas forensic pathologist's theory that Chauvin did not cause Floyd's death."

Regardless of how this turns out, Chauvin's attorneys need to have the right to examine elements of the autopsy if it can disprove the prosecution's case.

Pretty clear now to anyone with a brain that Chauvin did not kill him ... he was sacrificed to the burners looters murderers to help get China Joe elected.
