There's an absolute disconnect from the fact that 2020 was an anomaly. The people who primarily get their news from MSNBC or pre Musk Twitter are literally stunned they didn't win.

So while most people thought this would be close (it wasn't) there's a good sized subset who just can't believe they lost, never mind got destroyed.

It was obvious immediately. A corrupt old pervert with no meaningful campaign and zero enthusiasm vs an incumbent with a record of meaningful success. Trump's record was imperfect but still very good, especially in the context of a global pandemic that flummoxed almost everyone. And he was being undermined at every turn by investigations over fake charges, bogus impeachments, etc.

What's going to be interesting is to look at state by state totals. Georgia actually had more votes cast this year than in 2020, which sort of defies the idea that more people voted absentee in 2020 thus swaying the outcome.

All the big states are over 95% counted except California.

California is 54% complete. Kamala is up 57-40%

I think she may get 2 or 3M more at best but Trump is gonna hang on to win the popular vote comfortably.
