Exactly. This has nothing to do with guns and everything to do with 13% that does 60% of the violent crimes.Redbrickbear said:

Gun control arguments are rarely intellectually honest. Chicago has a backwards gun culture problem, not a gun or race problem. And huge swathes of poverty. Simple as that..
A small village north of NYC being compared to Chicago has got to be a joke. If you can post something I can take seriously, I can engage.Redbrickbear said:You are either being dishonest or just foolishPorteroso said:

Poverty is not the reason for Chicago crime (and I think you know it)
In fact one of the poorest places in America has almost no crime at all.
[Your chance of becoming a victim of crime in Kiryas Joel is 1 in 1083. This equates to a crime rate of 0.92 per 1,000 residents, making Kiryas Joel one of the safest communities in New York to live in. In fact, it is one of the safest communities in the entire nation, according to FBI crime statistics.]

And seriously, work on your reading comprehension. I posted 2 reasons Chicago has a massive violence problem,

State homicide statistics are driven largely by what percentage of their population is black due to blacks killing and being killed at vastly higher per capita rates than other groups, even comparably poor Hispanics. https://t.co/oWhTM0bCsU

Gun violence is much more closely related to poverty, than race. Go anywhere in America, find pockets of generation poverty, and there you have crime, specifically gun violence. If you showed a statistic comparing impoverished white neighborhood gun violence against impoverished black neighborhood gun violence, it would be much fairer, and the numbers closer.
America has a severe gun violence problem among young black men, who in 2022 died 24 times as often as white young men by firearm homicide according to newly released CDC WONDER data.

But it's not
No real comparison in rates
Black males far far higher than everyone else

That is complete intellectual dishonesty. I am talking about comparing impoverished people only, as they commit most of the nation's crime. You are comparing by race people of all socioeconomic backgrounds. You are conflating the 2.
Poverty does not account for much of the racial/ethnic homicide disparity in the United States.

Poverty does not appear to be the primary factor for racial crime rate differences.

Nope. Democrats dominating large cities is a societal issue. The ruling tribe does not really change the fact that large cities have gun violence issues. If only life were really so black and white.
