It's about the contrast: what is more important? Celebrating heroes who made huge sacrifices for this country or entitled perverts with delusions & other mental illnesses. It speaks volumes about the decline of our culture and who loves America and who hates this country.
This is wrong is the wrong question. The question is can we tolerate calling our Native American heroes "Redskins."
What say you White Skin."
We tolerate you on this forum. My guess is that we can live with Redskins...

1. Why are native Americans "heroes" .....are all American ethnic groups heroes?

Interesting phrase you are using

2. I have zero problem with a baseball team somewhere called the White Skins.....I think it would be funny/quirky name and not offensive at all

Because a segment of our population that loves to use the term "white washing" also love to COMPLETELY IGNORE the reality of the "indigenous peoples" and their utter brutality.

What funny is that cannot even see the irony in that.

1. Why are native Americans "heroes" .....are all American ethnic groups heroes?

The "fallacy" of applying "hero" to all American ethnic groups:
  • Complex history: Applying the term "hero" broadly to all American ethnic groups overlooks the complexities of American history, which includes oppression and discrimination against various groups.
  • Avoiding harmful stereotypes: Labeling an entire ethnic group as "heroes" can perpetuate harmful stereotypes and erase the diversity within the group. Labeling an entire group Redskins can perpetuate harmful stereotypes ", as is in" those dirty redskins."
  • , as in western lore and history.

2. I have zero problem with a baseball team somewhere called the White Skins.....I think it would be funny/quirky name and not offensive at all KKL would love it

So you used AI to tell you that labeling all American ethnic groups as heroes is problematic and simplistic

So again....why did you say that native Americans/American Indians are "heroes"?

There are also teams out there with Mountaineer and Hilltoper logos/mascots that are of course a reference to Appalachian White people .

Never heard anyone from those regions complain and say they were offensive stereotypes...when of course they are stereotypes about rural mountain region folks.

Not everything is done to be mean.

People don't choose sports mascots that they hate or feel are mean spirited .....they choose them because they have history or are intimidating or fun.
