you must not be old enough to appreciate their menu. Terry Black's it's not. But there are several ways to get a light lunch meal with a meat & 2 veggies in the 4-800 calorie range that is flavorful enough to at least not be objectionable.

like Budweiser, CB's error reflects a serious lack of understanding of their customer base. The older demographics are the most culturally conservative. Will not like the woke angle of it all. Yes, the effort may be to reach out to younger demographics, and yes, that is a not unimportant factor. But it's not like the younger demographics aren't going to get to the CB demographic over time..... Their CEO needed a Yoda to counsel "patience padawan." They should have pondered how to draw attention to how healthy their menu is (which is why I like to eat there).

Some clever social media that tied their aging demographic to the triangle peg game and lack of trendy/techno could have gone a long way in getting their name in front of younger clientele

What is woke about their new logo? It's a sleek, modern redesign for a brand that is LITERALLY dying.

They understand their customer base just fine. Your assertion is that people that never ate there will somehow become patrons 40 years from now. It's entirely possible they don't have the option of waiting for that to occur.

In time everything runs its course. You can't go to Montgomery-Wards or Sears & Roebuck any more either. The only constant is change and when your business is struggling to stay afloat the backlash from a logo redesign is the least of your concerns.

On issues like this the right is just as bad as the left. "Oh no, Cracker Barrel is changing their logo! Damn woke gays". It would be hilarious if it wasn't so ridiculous.

I actually like the new Cracker Barrel logo. Now I haven't eaten there in years and wont start now, but that logo is a well done modern take on their dated looking classic.

It opens the door for "vintage" merch sales of t-shirts and hats with the old logo in their little restaurant shop.

I just posted a funny joke. I don't really care about the logo except to observe that it seems like a foolish waste of money. However, the problems with Cracker Barrel go far beyond the logo.

They went the way of Chili's. Used to be a great place to go when it was on Greenville Ave in Dallas, a converted old post office. Nowdays it's a whitewashed building with no life in it. And the food is definately subpar vs the old Chili's.

Yup. I don't care about a logo of a company much, if at all. As long as the don't go crazy and try to hide things in there (flag, certain symbols like maybe a satanic one) I will focus more on their product.

While the food at CB is not great I will say we have eaten there (technically picked up food from there) several times over the last few years because they have a good deal on a family meal and for some reason our young kids eat their healthier items (veggies) from there and try some of the other food like meatloaf and then we can cook it at home and get them to try ours.

All that to say I would not choose CB as it is not good food but it is edible (at least the locations we have used) but I can see why they are dying off. It used to be really good food. For any meal.

I agree 100%, the Logo has a more modern classic look and keeps the Cracker Barrel colors.

I too haven't been there is several years, but might give it another shot. Seems like their food quality had slid a good bit and the quantity of food seemed to be more rationed than say 20-25 years ago.

I agree 100%, the Logo has a more modern classic look and keeps the Cracker Barrel colors.

The interiors of the stores look like any other modern, white washed stores from the photos I've seen. None of the "old home" feel of the old CB stores
