Wow. I can't believe people act that way for someone they don't even know. Even if they are reporters and do stories about her, her relationship, etc. that was way too much.

I only found out because espn felt it was important enough to send an alert in their app so I saw that/heard it sing and looked at and went on with my work day. I didn't even feel the need to tell coworkers.

You are probably underestimating how important Taylor Swift is to the group of women that use terms like "girl power" and talk about how the gap between men and women in the marathon is "only 9 minutes".

The type of women that will you they don't need a man while foaming at the mouth when one of their friends is in a relationship.

She's essentially a demigod to the "I go to therapy 3x a week" crowd.

Actually, no. I've never been to one or wanted to go. I don't watch her videos. The only song I can name was used for a Baylor football hype video in 2015! That's the only reason!

You're joking, right? Look I'm sure there's 1-2 men there because their wives made them go but for the ERAS tour
77% female
47% between 13-22
34% between 23-29
74% white

It's a sea of white women who will mostly become cat ladies.

Yes. I saw that video yesterday and couldn't believe someone said "only 9 mins" with a straight face. It was something like "we have closed the gap so much that now it's only 9 mins". Immediately I thought lady 9 mins is like 2 miles down the road.

The comments were gold though "I'm only 7 seconds slower than Usain Bolt" and "I'm only 4 seconds off running the same 40 time as an NFL linebacker".

Courtesy BBee... 10 Ways Taylor Swift And Travis Kelce Point Us To Christ

[ol]
  • Taylor Swift cannot dance, reminding us of how Jesus cannot sin: So poignant.
  • Travis Kelce can call an army of refs to come protect him at any moment, just like Christ could call on legions of angels: The parallels are remarkable.
  • Jesus is the Chief Priest, just like Travis Kelce is the Chief tight end: Mind-blowing.
  • Taylor Swift famously wrote "Teardrops On My Guitar", which recalls Jesus weeping at Lazarus' death: It all points back to the Lord.
  • Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce both have Jewish agents, reminding us of Christ's teaching that salvation comes through the Jews: The connections are almost too clear.
  • We are all like Taylor Swift, the lost, confused girl, and Christ is our bridegroom, big, strong Travis Kelce: We can't help but see ourselves in Tay Tay.
  • The flowers surrounding the couple show us the Edenic state of communion with God that Jesus restores: The symbolism just hits home.
  • The rock on her finger is approximately as large as the rock that covered Jesus' tomb: Only something supernatural can roll away a stone of that size.
  • In reference to the dust on their feet after preaching to an unbelieving town, Jesus told his followers to "Shake it off": Taylor's version reminds us to remain steadfast in our witness for the Gospel.
  • Jesus loved people who were despised and rejected: Just like the way Travis loves Taylor. So beautiful.

That's the problem. If you approach the bible and Christ with an honest attempt to understand him and his message, this guy's theology (and Chip Gaines's) just falls apart. We are called upon to BOTH love everyone AND testify to the truth. That requires that we not write off sinners, but that we also don't just say "You're find like you are!" We're required to love them and bring them to repentance and salvation.

Neil Young Goes After Trump in New Protest Song

Neil Young is out with a new protest song scorching the policies of President Trump, reports the Guardian. In "Big Crime," the 79-year-old rockerwho is the same age as the presidentfocuses on federal troops in Washington, DC:
"Don't need no fascist rules / don't want no fascist schools / don't want soldiers walking on the streets," he sings. "Got to get the fascists out / got to clean the White House out … no more money to the fascists, the billionaire fascists."

The New York Times notes that Young doesn't mention Trump by name, though he sings, "There's big crime in DC at the White House."
Young has dual US-Canadian citizenship, and he has worried recently about not being allowed back into the US after touring abroad. "If I talk about Donald J. Trump, I may be one of those returning to America who is barred or put in jail to sleep on a cement floor with an aluminum blanket," he wrote on his website earlier this year, per Rolling Stone.
