It is quite shocking how many of the Democratic positions of today cannot stand up to literally any scrutiny. Simple direct questions cause them to crumble. It was the dems who coined the phrase "trust the science" but on quite a few issues they seem to be completely ignoring the science.
I think this is why Trump won. More moderate democrats who haven't lost their minds simply couldn't back some of the more far left positions and voted republican or abstained altogether.
When the senior leadership of the democratic party ceded power and/or influence to people like AOC and Ilhan Omar inside their own party due to their flash in the pan popularity, they lost control of the narrative and things have slipped further and further left. I honestly don't believe the majority of democrats believe this stuff but there is a very vocal minority both inside their party and in their voter base that is now leading the charge and they don't seem to be showing much progress wresting control back from the lunatic fringe, even after a fairly embarrassing defeat in the last primary cycle.
Probably true. But there still are millions of people willing to vote for the dangerous insanity. Even if you discount a sizable number to continued fraud (very likely in blue states since they have had few real reforms), it's a huge number.
To be honest, the fascists (aka "Democrat Party") is looking more and more like a criminal or terrorist organization these days.
Right now most are just voting against Trump and anyone who supports him/ that he endorses. Once he leaves I would bet many Dems will start to vote against other Dems.
I wish this were true, but I think the track record is against this line of thinking. They said horrible things about GWB. They said horrible things about McCain who was known for being a centrist. They said horrible things about Romney who is considered a rhino in his own party and is a bland human being. They certainly ramped things up for Trump, but the Dem playbook has always been to demonize your opponent. They'll spend the next two cycles doing the same thing while also citing the candidates Trump ties to provide cover. Once Trump is far in the rearview and no longer good fodder, they'll have moved on to some other person with an R by their name they have deemed the latest Hitlerian figure.
True but I think there will be a small split in their part between those who support the crazy stances and those who are more reasoned.
