The amount of praise I saw from "friends" on social media (most of them were former colleagues, very old high school classmates, etc.) that were praising the planned parent lady that just died as a "savior", "hero", etc. was just sick.

As with so much in the Left, she sees cotton as evil when it's just a material good. If she really is still bitter over something that ended 160 years ago then she will have to oppose a lot of other agricultural products that were grown in the south using slave labor: rice, indigo, tobacco, etc.

Her post also shows the failure of our education system/society/ basic common sense that people don't understand cotton is used in everyday products.

It is equal to those people that oppose the way animals are slaughtered or hunting for food and say something stupid like "go get it at the store."
