Don't disagree with your assessment at all, and I've seen Chinese IP theft up close. It's just that the WTO was never intended to be an IP enforcement entity. So your "toothless" description is on point. Their trade group has a little more effective enforcement mechanism, but certainly not like law enforcement. IP theft is a legal/court issue, but even then enforcing a ruling in China is difficult anyway. Reality is it's Caveat Emptor to the maximum level.

EDIT: BTW, my intent wasn't to spotlight the WTO, but spotlight the reality that despite the X storm of braggadocio a few weeks ago about an Indian trade deal, reality is it's not there and the parties aren't in alignment.

While I think it's stupid and needles, I actually appreciate that Trump is generally unfiltered and willing to troll progressives. His unfiltered speech gives us a better impression of what he's thinking, not literally but in theme. I take the good with the bad, because his fighting attitude against progressives is a net positive.

And lets be real, in no way does it hurt him. I stopped worrying about keeping up appearances in regards to to progressives in politics a long time ago.

Not really with all the continuous law fare, rogue judges, petty accusations, etc. He's endured all that stupid nonsense from the fascists for almost a decade. I'm cutting him some slack because mist of the people he vents at have rushed it out themselves, often much worse. He's giving them a taste of their own medicine.
