Remember Cinco de Mayo, and Trump had that taco salad? Turns out it led to an "earth shattering" fart.

One so epic it scared China into making a deal. Because Trump told them if there was no deal, he had burritos ready at an even greater flatulence scale.

So it turned out to be a really big gas deal.

At least a couple of huge announcements, and the TDS 2.0 clowns can't think of anything.

Here's truth, there's been an unprecedented number of amazing commitments in such a short time that the resident goofs just ignore and downplay.

TDS is a mental disorder.

Saudi's, UAE are making smart strategic moves. This is the time.

Trump doesn't give a **** about their human rights issues that Biden and Obama made alliances as non-starters. This is a smart move by them.

They are too busy trying to figure out how to spin this as he still has X number of countries left in the world like they were when the first deal was announced and they were complaining it was only one country.

None of this is surprising. I am not sure why anyone is shocked. President Trump is not a conservative. He is a Clintonian Democrat (as I have been posting for years). Those looking for Trump to care about the deficit are barking up the wrong tree.

The problem is that a balanced budget are politically impossible. The average American voter is not sophisticated. They do not understand the long-term problems of the budget deficit. They see the goodies and want them. The budget will only get balanced when the problem reaches the level of national austerity measures and both parties can come together and make it bipartisan.

Several of you said it was not a Presidential gift, but a gift to the U.S. government. Which is true?
Qatar's media attach, Ali Al-Ansari, has stated that the Boeing 747-8 is not a personal gift to Donald Trump but is under discussion as a potential transfer from Qatar's Ministry of Defense to the U.S. Department of Defense for temporary use as Air Force One.

I think you're right. For it to be a foreign official gift, Congress has to accept it, and the President doesn't get to keep it, which is the distinction from personal or presidential gifts. Had to read about it just now.
Does give us an opening into Qatar, stopping the support for Hamas or Hezbollah. If we can get the Middle East to stop supporting them financially, get Saudis to become part of the Abraham Accord, maybe add Qatar to that, all the fighting would slow down and hopefully cease.
What makes you think we want it to cease?

Not being a smartass, but math is your friend. Billions are rounding errors in federal spending dollars. Maybe I am wrong, but not sure anyone posited DOGE would balance the budget, but there are myriad reasons to right-size the government and reduce any waste. A better question would be why do you oppose it other than TDS?

Possibly coincidental, but the Token2049 Conference in Dubai just wrapped up last week and Eric Trump was there.

There's also a story about a very small Chinese company purchasing $300 Million in $TRUMP through a BVI shell company. It was disclosed through SEC filings.

Hope it's not as it appears.

If I'm being honest I'm not sure I care what the WTO says. When the WTO is willing to address Chinese theft of IP, blatantly knocking off of US products and extend patent, trademark and design protections to western countries I will care a little more.

Until then they are just another toothless organization.

We could walk a Harbor Freight together and I could show you 100 items in less than 10 mins that are straight up stolen designs from US companies where they bought the product, took it to China and reverse engineered it using low quality steel and shove it in their stores with "compares to" and the proceeds to tell employees "all of this stuff is made in the same factory so it's the same". Like MADE IN USA means it's came from a Chinese factory.

And I don't mean "comparable" products. I mean if you stripped the stickers off and sat items side by side you wouldn't be able to see much, if any difference.

I think Trump is wrong on tariffs but it is to the point where you know if you build something in China you're going to see a knock off version of your product within a handful of months. They don't even view it as theft and U.S. courts really can't do much about it.

Where a public company builds their products is None of Trump's business. Why he thinks it is, is mind boggling. Sure Trump people definitely want $3,500 I phone. Way over the line. Mr. Cook should tell fat boy to go eff himself.

And those same companies want the protection of US courts.

A token effort to reshore some, if not all, production can and should be paid back with a token effort of US court protections.

The companies want the best of both worlds.

The organization that awarded Obama for doing absolutely nothing ( even he was embarrassed ) will never honor Donald Trump; regardless what he accomplishes.

If Trump is able to finalize all these peace negotiations and successfully end the Russia v Ukraine war, the Hamas v Israel war, and the India v Pakistan conflict he will have earned it. Arguably, he (& Rubio) will have done more for peace than anyone in recent history.

Like every other human institution, the Nobel committee is corrupt and a mockery of itself. They cannot be trusted to award the prize to Trump no matter what he accomplishes. Then again, they might surprise us all.
