That's a lot of Bs

It would be nice if they would just round it up to 1 trillion...

Sometimes I am prophetic. I try not to make a big deal out of it...
What happened to Globalism is bad? Isn't selling America to foreigners Globalist? Or does that not count? Or does it not count if it is Trump?
Massive difference between the Open Society running the world and America/Saudi and everyone else controlling their own fates
Yeah, that's it....
Globalism; the operation or planning of economic and foreign policy on a global basis.
Going to the middle east and asking for money, playing peacemaker in Ukraine, Iran, Yemen and India, threatening to invade Greenland, and taking gifts from countries. Sure glad we are not involved around the world anymore. Thank God we don't have a NeoCon Globalist in power getting us involved around the world...
So you don't understand globalism. The difference between the One World Order and the world's largest economic power doing new deals. I understand
No, you guys keep changing the definitions based on what the narrative Trump wants to put out. Trump's words:

"America is governed by Americans," he said on the opening day of the Assembly's annual General Debate. "We reject the ideology of globalism, and we embrace the doctrine of patriotism. Around the world, responsible nations must defend against threats to sovereignty not just from global governance, but also from other, new forms of coercion and domination."

So, accepting gifts, threatening to take Greenland, being embroiled in every war in the world, and asking for trillions of dollars from anyone that will give it. (Remember how you guys were Anti-Saudi in the past?) These are not forms of coercion and threats? How is this different, besides you changing the definitions of same old- same old to fit the new agenda?
It is still not globalism, which is your argument. Not in the least. Working with other nations is smart economic policy and the opposite of isolationism which the left keeps saying we are becoming
You guys are the Party of labels. You can be doing the same actions, but re-label it. You seem more interested in defining the label for whatever it is you are doing more than looking at what is being done! It is amazing.

Trump is taking billions of dollars and gifts from the Middle East, yet that is not "Globalism". The US 7th Fleet (I think it is the 7th out of Bharain) is in an active war with the Houthi's and we are threatening Iran at the behest of the Saudi's. How is this any different? We are now out and out mercenaries. If you don't have cash, we will take a airplane or golf clubs. You guys actually don't see this as part of Globalism?

Globalism - a national policy of treating the whole world as a proper sphere for political influence
Globalism as a concept dates from the 1940s. In the 21st century, the term "the globalists" was popularized by Alex Jones, and used interchangeably with the concepts of a New World Order and the deep state.

That is not what we are doing by setting up economic treaties with other nations. And please prove that "Trump is taking billions of dollars and gifts from the Middle East". Please note that investments in the USA are not the same as a gift to Trump...
Gift to Trump? I know it is not personal gift. The US does not need Qatar to give us a plane. Nice gesture, but the answer should be we are fine. No thank you. Ok, you know about the plane.

Where are the Saudi's investing a Trillion dollars and what are we doing in the Region? THAT is the Globalit question. We are in a shooting war right now with the Saudi's enemies. We are coming down on Iran at the Saudi behest. What are we doing for the Trillion dollars? If you want to answer the Globalist question, you have to look at the whole equation.

We are a Globalist Nation and have been for over 100 years. I would say Roosevelt's Great White Fleet started this off. I have no issues with Globalism, especially moving forward. There is strength in numbers.

You guys changing definitions drive me nuts. It is what it is. Biden made decisions that were bad for the Nation. That doesn't mean Trump can't do the same things, better. It is all the same in trade and foreign policy. These are not as black and white as immigration which he is killing it. Love it! Love Noem going to Congress. Trump has been a great immigration President.
I will let you simmer with the FL definition of globalism. For me, it resides with George Soros, One World Order, Klaus Schwab, Open Society, the EU and all the other players that want absolute control of everything.
I think for many, "Globalist" has become a loaded term, and one can argue whether or not that is fair. Literally, we have been a globalist nation since the Spanish-American War and went all in when we entered World War I. I think you're correct that when people use "Globalist" as a pejorative term, it is in the context of control ... submitting U.S. interests to the interest of said "Globalists." This tends to express itself in desire for social control.
come on Assman.. just what in the hell do you think your Furor is doing trotting around the Middle East doing deals? It's called globalism. We cannot and will not be isolationist. You have to be in the game. We aint all that!

If true, this is a problem. Money laundering and influence peddling at its finest. Would make Joe Biden look like an amateur.
I would agree. Biden is an amateur. He f-ed up everything he touched.

We are in the big leagues, no doubt.

Let me be clear, I may question the ethics and philosophy of why we are doing things under Trump. But, when it comes to execution, they are very professional. This is big league stuff and I mean that as a complement.

Possibly coincidental, but the Token2049 Conference in Dubai just wrapped up last week and Eric Trump was there.

There's also a story about a very small Chinese company purchasing $300 Million in $TRUMP through a BVI shell company. It was disclosed through SEC filings.

Hope it's not as it appears.

This isn't just Allstate but all insurance companies and really all big corporations. They cry they are losing money but their top executives make millions…..
Although auto insurance has become mandated by most states, it has become quite the conundrum. Many lower earners simply can no longer afford it. I read that 1 out of 4 drivers are uninsured in the U.S. Other than riding a bike, not sure what the solution is here.

The insurance companies need to do a few things like catch up to modern times. A few of these could be:

Give every driver a free dash cam when they sign up. This would help cut down on insurance scams (people slamming on brakes to get rear ended by a company vehicle, nice car, or other scams). And this could probably end after like 2 years or so. It would be expensive at first but reduce costs.

Reduce the number of agents/offices. Sorry but I have never even met my agent and see no need to have an agent. If I do have a claim I call a national number. The agent does nothing. I signed up online. My agent does nothing but collect money for being my "agent."

Reduce claims adjusters for most things. With online claims it is easy to take pictures and load them in. No need for a claims adjuster to drive to take pictures of vehicle damage. This could also be applied for house insurance also. Or have the repair shop do it.

Do better at costs based on location, driving, etc.

When my wife and I both switched to remote jobs we called our insurance company to see if we could get a discount since we didn't drive every day. They said no. Another company said yes. So we switched and it was all online.

I am sure there are other things they could do if someone really thought about it but those would be the ones I would do.

That's not shocking. A segment of the population has figured out that if you can't pay for your car you can make sure it's totaled and the insurance company will pay for it.

It helps to do your homework.

When my daughter started driving, the cost of our car insurance went to the moon. So I looked around and while most were charging similar amounts, AAA saved me a thousand plus compared to the others.

The difference is that most insurance companies base their rates on zip code, demographics and annual driving distance, AAA charges according to your history, accidents and citations. Miles driven and where you live are factors, but minor ones.

Same for homeowners policy and flood insurance. Some companies are shameless in what they charge, especially since in most cases the longer you stay with a company the more often your rates go up, even if you never file a claim.

Do the math, save your budget. At least that's what has worked for me for a half century plus.

Once our 2 kids got on our auto insurance our rate went from $1,000 a year for my wife and I up to $5000 a year. I knew it was gonna be bad...but damn. And it's not like we have fancy cars...Mazdas and Toyotas. Also...all 4 of us have clean driving records...knock on wood.

We shopped around and ended up bundling home/auto with State Farm. They have a "drive safe" program where you put a beacon in your car that monitors your driving habits like braking, accelerating, phone use, etc.

It feels a little creepy giving over that info...but I'm cheap enough having 2 kids in college I'll do it to save some dollars.

I agree. Which is why I called to get a lower rate once we were no longer driving daily. The company said they don't do that. So I got quotes from 4 others and then switched.

Mikes driven may be a minor factor but when we switched the amount saved was huge. And nothing else changed in terms of coverage. Just this company gave a discount since we do not drive much.

Several of you said it was not a Presidential gift, but a gift to the U.S. government. Which is true?
Qatar's media attach, Ali Al-Ansari, has stated that the Boeing 747-8 is not a personal gift to Donald Trump but is under discussion as a potential transfer from Qatar's Ministry of Defense to the U.S. Department of Defense for temporary use as Air Force One.

I think you're right. For it to be a foreign official gift, Congress has to accept it, and the President doesn't get to keep it, which is the distinction from personal or presidential gifts. Had to read about it just now.
It's an interesting gift. What I am not sure of, is when the new AF 1 is available, do we give the gift back to Qatar? It was kinda insinuated in a couple of articles but not clarified.

Does give us an opening into Qatar, stopping the support for Hamas or Hezbollah. If we can get the Middle East to stop supporting them financially, get Saudis to become part of the Abraham Accord, maybe add Qatar to that, all the fighting would slow down and hopefully cease.

Maybe that's why it's a temporary gift. It's a loaner!
