if nothing else, DOGE has opened the discussion, and put pressure on Congress to follow the leads given to it.

Musk never had unilateral power to make the cuts you want. This is all about forcing Congress to get off it's ass.

In April, inflation eased to its lowest monthly growth in four years, while Americans' personal income and rate of savings jumped, data released Friday by the Commerce Department's Bureau of Economic Analysis (BEA) reveal.

As measured by the BEA's Personal Consumption Expenditure (PCE) price index, prices increased 0.1% from March, as did the "core" index, which excludes the volatile food and energy categories.

Compared to the same month a year ago, April's price index is up 2.1% and its core index is 2.5% higher the slowest year-over-year growth for any month since February of 2021. Both numbers represent movement closer to the Federal Reserve's target inflation rate of 2.0%.

While inflation was somewhat lower than analysts' expectations, Americans' disposable personal income (DPI) growth was far higher.

At 0.8%, the monthly increase in current-dollar personal income is nearly three times expectations and the largest growth in four years,

To answer your original question I would say it depends on the time period, historically UK and France were solid allies, I don't know about now though

Japan and South Korea are good ones

I just don't see Israel doing anything from the others that would warrant the title of our "Greatest Ally"

The Atlanta Fed has hiked its GDPNOW forecast after this morning's releases from the US Census Bureau and the Institute for Supply Management.

Additionally, the nowcasts of second-quarter real personal consumption expenditures growth and real gross private domestic investment growth increased from 3.3 percent and -1.4 percent, respectively, to 4.0 percent and 0.5 percent.

Doesnt bother me too much. I enjoy the explosions more. One of the joys of not having a POTUS made his bones in the business world and not through the political party system
