3 "primary " residences in Texas? Waiting for the criminal referral
Maybe Patrick can "fix" these too

Maybe Paxton criminal referrals are standing in line in a crowded waiting room?

So if you purchase a home which actually is your primary residence on a 30yr loan, then some number of years down the road you decide to move to a 2nd location and obtain another 30yr loan to purchase it but keep the original house......are you legally required to refinance the first home on a new mortgage (bearing a higher interest rate) just to avoid the allegation of fraud?

Of course not.

LOTS of electeds in Austin have done stuff like that. Former Sen. Sibley from Waco had a home in Waco and a townhouse in Austin. I have no idea what he declared or not on his mortgage, but he did declare the townhome as his "homestead." (a potential political problem - residency - for someone seeking to represent Waco.) I asked him about it directly in a one-on-one lunch. He was honest = he declared the Austin townhome as his homestead because it was worth a lot more money than his Waco residence. I nodded and we moved on to other topics.

Res ipsa loquitur: Paxton has not been prosecuted for anything he is alleged to have done. So the worst that can be said at this point is that he's incautious about appearances. Against that, he has a stellar record on the issues, which is why voters keep re-electing him. (I'm not sanguine about his chances in 2026, though....)

but the neverPaxton crowd is gonna neverPaxton. They cannot stand the notion of a conservative who promises to do conservative things actually daring to do a lot of conservative things.

Q: Did President Donald Trump solve seven wars in seven months?

A: Trump has claimed he "ended" six or seven wars since returning to the White House in January. Experts in international relations said the president has had a significant role in ending fighting in four conflicts, though officials in one country refute Trump's claim. But some of the international disagreements Trump cites have not been wars, and some clashes have not ended, experts said.

COMMENT??

Still much better than the last administration. Momentum in the right direction. Conflicts avoided.

again, we see the left trying to redefine reality, in this case war & peace itself, to deny the man any credit for what he's accomplished.

L O L. Name the 7 ended conflicts. Show us the reality.

They're widely reported, so inform yourself.

Doubt that Porteroso will believe it even after they give Trump the Nobel Prize for doing it.

I thought so. 7 ended conflicts l o l.

I didn't make any qualitative comments on the nature of the conflicts. Just noted how comfortable you are with your own ignorance.

yes, if you have a primary residence mortgage already no matter how many years, when you buy the second one, it cant be a primary residence loan. Thats how it works.

We just did an equity loan on our farm land to cash buy a new house. The house is fully paid off and I get better rates on farm loans than mortgages..

There are ways to do it correctly and maximize value.

It's dumb in a state like North Dakota. Or heck, West Texas. One thing if people live 5 minutes from a polling station. Another if it's a 3 hour drive, and you gotta work. I could understand eliminating mail in where it makes sense, but there are situations were it is the only reasonable way to vote.

It makes sense everywhere.

Questions. How many places are there in the US where kids have a 3 hour drive to school? Is there a single county in the US (outside of maybe Alaska's larger political subdivisions) where it's a 3 hour drive to the county seat from anywhere in that county? The largest county in Texas, Brewster County, is larger than 3 different US states, and it is not a 3 hour drive from anywhere in the county to Alpine (the county seat having 2/3s of the county's total population) and even less still to schools that serve more remote areas.

It's not a question of cost either. There are plenty of precincts in the US where there are 10 or less registered voters. In fact, in Bexar County, TX, there are 841,000+ registered voters and there are 181 precinct voting centers; several dozen of which have under 20 registered voters (some with zero) and even more which had under 5 votes at the polling site on election day in the last election this past June. There were three that processed only 1 vote in the 12 hours that the polls were open on election day.

Beyond these facts and practices, there is also no reason that a county with voters so remote as to make it a hardship for them to vote, couldn't be served by a county mobile voting center service that could take the ballots to them.

So you do support Dems cheating and lying. That's what the Dems have been doing for decades with the current voting system that you want to keep. You liberals are all the same.
