First, Capitalism is not synonymous with Greed. There are just as many greedy Communists, Socialists, Anarchists, et cetera ,as anyone else. Capitalism is simply the word we use to define private control of the means of production.

Second, trusting politicians to do the right thing is an absurdly bad idea, so putting the decision in the hands of any political party is again, extremely stupid and certain to end badly for working folks.
And third, what is needed is not a 'balance' of opposing motives, but a mix of functional options to make sure the basic needs are met and essential goals pursued.
