Those with enough anointing and power washed upon them by the Holy Spirit can exercise demons

Luke 10:17

I believe demons are real. Do you believe Paula White just cast some out in the video?

She comes across as fake, and a televangelist like Robert Tilton, Creflo, etc.
White being a 'spiritual advisor' to anyone is a sham, much less the WH
could go either way, in the video she is doing things that a person casting out demons would do but some of that seems to be theatrics

Is that the Tesla truck? That is the ugliest truck...

I honestly don't understand the appeal. The finish rusts sometimes and other times fades to an ugly matte. There are tons of complaints about the rough ride and things failing like wipers, signals and doors jamming.

I don't get why people want it. It isn't really a truck. It can't haul or go off road and like you said has a lot of issues. Unlike what I have heard about Tesla cars which seem to be well built.

Give me an F150.

If I were going EV for pickup, I would go Rivian over Tesla.

EV trucks just aren't ready for prime time. Any kind of load to carry/pull and the range goes pitiful.

You think 70 miles just isn't good enough? lol

The Rivian has good stats 11,000 tow capacity and 420 miles. It is just 71k. I am not spending 71k on a vehicle when my 2018 F150 can do the same thing and get 24 mpg on the highway.

You're not getting 420 miles towing with a Riv. In fact, I've seen approximately a million of them and I've never seen one tow anything. EV trucks are for the people who buy Honda Trucks so their wife can bring home plants from the Gardening center.

And 71k is dirt cheap. My Ram 3500 was 92k and I just ordered a 2027 Kenworth T280 Elite…it was $359k after the upfit. That truck would have cost $285k 4 years ago and $225 7 years ago.

Ok, we are talking way different use patterns! Kenworth? Even a 3500 is a serious truck, I doubt the Riv is competing with either! You are buying a Kenworth, you are making a living with it.

I have not seen one pull anything either. If pulling I am not going EV. That is the marketing. For the typical 1500 crowd, 50k seems to be the break point. You can get the entry level V8 for about 43k. Pull the usual boat is as hardcore as most get here.

Unless you are putting lift kits and hanging balls from your tow package, than all bets are off...

Agreed. 50K is good for an f150 or 1500 Chevy/Ram and will get you a good trim package with bells and whistles.

Going up to 71K you might as well look at the large SUV (expedition, Tahoe, suburban) that have good towing power for the majority of things the 150/1500 crowd pull.

Of course at 71K you are probably getting one without much in the way of the trim package since those things are so expensive. Like way crazy expensive in my opinion for what you get.

Every time I mention this I get some dumb response like "you're just jealous that you're not that rich."

It would be nice if we could just admit that this is not the direction we want to go. Shrinking the middle class, watching the generationally impoverished stay generationally impoverished, all the while a Bill Gates has the means to eradicate entire diseases on an entire continent....

Wealth is power, and much like we fought a war to make sure political elites dont decide everything for us, we are going to have to realize that we also dont want a few super rich deciding everything for us.

A system that rewards Bezos with billions for his successful company, while not providing for his employees' basic needs, and somehow not even generating corporate tax most years.... is not a good system.

It is a problem, a bigger problem are the solutions. What are your suggestions?

Tie the max payments of CEOs in some way to the income of their employees. Say you have a huge year. The CEO should get a bonus, sure, but give everyone else nothing? Of course it is a massive slippery slope. Once you let voters weigh in on it, they will want the CEOs to be paid much less than I would think is fair. The tyranny of the majority.

Another way is some form of accountability, where say a CEO is normally taking home 25x the average employee, but suddenly id slated to get 250x the average employee, triggers some sort of external review where they have to justify it.

I am also in favor of more tax brackets. Bringing home $3m is not the same as bringing home $3bn.

My last idea is to copy what other countries do that works. Like Germany. Tax automation so that when jobs are lost to automation, the government pays to retain factory workers for new fields. Same with AI.

You need to split your argument into multiple segments because arguing about millionaires and billionaires is not the same thing. When you talk about billionaires you're talking about around 3,000 on the planet and only around 30% of those are from the U.S. so you're talking about, roughly, 1,000 people.

Average CEO pay at the S&P500s is around 18mm per year. Outside of that the number drops to around 850k.

Very few (as in almost none) CEOs become billionaires. Most come from finance and technology and the overwhelming majority founded something (roughly 70%). The richest group of billionaires come from the tech world.

When talking about billionaires you also have separate income from assets, like with all business people.

When you talk about tax just know the top 1% of income earners (over $650k give or take) pay about 40% of the income taxes, greater than 1T dollars and more than the bottom 90% combined. Thats not an argument against higher tax rates just covering the current reality.

So, to me, you're really having at least 3 separate discussions here. What should CEO compensation look like, what sort of taxes should the top 1,000 earners pay and how do you slow the gap between those at $100,000 and those at $1,000,000,000. All 3 are interesting conversations.

Actually, it is an argument against higher tax rates. Anyone who has never heard of the Laffer curve, should learn about it. It is reality and that ignorance harms everyone.

Here's Art Laffer explaining it:

Here is another excellent explanation:

It is very important because it's historically demonstrable and has been proved over and again.

You know how absolutely insane that sounds to anyone that isn't really conservative religious, right?

Like when Muslims say stuff and people go "that's insane". The belief in literal demons and that this charlatan can cast them out…equally as insane.

And yes I know that won't be popular here.

In the Our Father prayer….it requests that we are protected from evil.

Well IMO evil is real….and demons are real. Possibly many are merely negative thought processes or the results of mental illness.

However I also believe demons exist externally throughout the world.

Mexican national ***** was located in the Travis County Jail after being convicted of domestic assault causing bodily injury. Officials said ******* was last removed from the United States in 2011 following a conviction for improper entry.

Federal officials said the cases were referred or supported by multiple law enforcement agencies, including ICE, U.S. Border Patrol, the Drug Enforcement Administration, the FBI, the U.S. Marshals Service and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, along with state and local partners.

The U.S. Attorney's Office for the Western District of Texas covers 68 counties across central and western Texas, encompassing nearly 93,000 square miles and serving an estimated population of 7.6 million people. The disconnect is that the law would not actually allow anyone with a photo ID to vote. Many driver's licenses would be insufficient. You might need a passport or your birth certificate.

They need to go for silver right now, just let people vote with photo IDs. If they are worried about driver's license fraud, they need to address it separately.

We get it you love Trump. Can do no wrong, well documented. His Agents literally shot people in the street, he tariffed the whole world, started a war with Iran, threatened to take Greenland, and is literally turning Gaza into a real estate project for his son in law and you are good. Can't be more pro-Donald than that

Maybe batter just write in the names he wants. There likely won't be much of a choice again until a party changes its primary voting habits.
