Good morning, BUDOS:
You have certainly dived into the deep end of the conspiracy theory pool. I think my past post properly added the necessary perspective on this matter, but would like to address some of your points:
BUDOS: "
Oldbear, are you saying that if Group A got away doing something wrong then it is okay if Group B does something wrong and gets away with it? I doubt you meant that so please explain."
Not what I said. You made a great deal of media hysteria about one day at one place, but have said
nothing at all about the riots in 2020 at Minneapolis,

New York,

Rochester,

Portland,

Chicago,

Kenosha,

and Philadelphia

sixty-eight municipalities in all. Well over eight thousand violent events were recorded in a two month span.
After-Action Reports on the Riots of 2020 | Police Magazine The J6 protest was in no way in the same league as the leftist rioters, who committed " 2,385 incidents of looting and 624 incidents of arson, including 97 police vehicles burned. More than 2,035 law enforcement officers were injured at the protests and riots during the time frame studied."
After-Action Reports on the Riots of 2020 | Police Magazine A site set up to track the cost of the 2020 riots reported
"Total: 37 dead, 29 other gunshot victims, 19 other major injuries, 2 other attempted murders
Related Killings: 8, Related Beatings: 1"
2020 BLM/Antifa Riot Deaths So please stop pretending this is '
whataboutism'. The violence you are ignoring was massive, hurt far more people, and has received almost no criticism from mainline media.
As for Trump's speech, there was nothing criminal there. There is absolutely no doubt the Biden Administration would have charged Trump with a crime for the speech if they could, and let's not forget how many media outlets
deleted the section where Trump told protesters to do so peacefully.
Trump did absolutely nothing we have not seen from Democrats in terms of trying to change the election outcome after Election Day. I already reminded you about some of Clinton's tactics in January 2017.
So your little jibe about '
conspiracy theories' can go where the rest of the trash is sent.
I do think it's helpful to consider how belief systems are developed, especially regarding the sources accepted or rejected. It's also important to keep context in mind; the Democrats have a long history of persecuting conservatives, or do I have to go back and dig up how Obama abused the IRS and DOJ, then Biden after him, to go after people whose worst offense in many cases was a misdemeanor, and only a possible one at that. That weapon has, at least up to now, not been used the other way, and you are literate enough to know that.
Now as to the list of individuals you posted; you might want to rethink that broad-brush approach you're using. Your own post observed that Trump "
granted pardons and commutations to roughly 1,500 people involved" , but you provided individual accusations on four people. More than kind of displays a tendency to blame all for a few. And I also mentioned in my prior post that at least some of the '
admissions' were coerced by keeping accused in solitary confinement, denying them legal counsel or meeting the speedy-trial requirement to which they were entitled. I am disappointed you just ignored that point, as I believed you cared about the accused having their rights recognized, but perhaps you don't so that when you don't like someone.
You have some hypocrisy issues here, BUDOS. Most people are hypocrites at one time or another, but I did believe you sought candor and to gain perspective. I hope that is still the case.
