Not what the average American wants to hear. They don't have stocks. Other than maybe in their retirement account so they care more about take home pay/spending money and not how stocks are doing for "rich" people.

I put rich people in quotes because to the average American the stock market is for rich not average people. Partially because they don't understand it or take part in it but that could be another thread.

I did not hear where he said it was a quote from the Bible. I did hear where he said it is a prayer (but I am unaware of all prayers being direct quotes from the Bible) and where he said it is reflected in a verse.... as in based off a verse, even if loosely based.

Here's the background.

We're trying to make sure Cuba remembers what we did in Panama, Venezuela, and Iran. Gunboat diplomacy like that empowers the diplomats.

unfortunate choice of words, but we do need a way for clandestinely collected information abroad to be used as probable cause to launch investigations. You cannot run a worldwide network of clandestine human sources if you keep hauling them into court for public testimony and cross-examination. So you have a stable of judges with clearances who can hear/read highly classified intel and issue warrants for LE to investigate and develop other evidence.

FISA as structured is not the problem. The problem is that the people involved in it are not being held accountable when they commit malfeasances. We need to impeachment and prosecutions, as appropriate, for those who abused the process for personal or partisan reasons.

Doesn't matter what kind of law we have if nobody is held accountable for violating it.

So not a fake Bible quote.

Correct. Hegseth attributed the quote to the movie, not the Bible. The allegation is blatantly false spin.

We have way too many, thousands of them. Nobody even notices a 3rd secretary, who in most other countries is literally a batman or valet.

Speaking a language the audience understands is good leadership.

It wasn't Hegseth's prayer. It was the prayer the soldiers who conducted the operation said as they entered into battle.

Oldbear,
I have a lot going on at this time, so I am going to break up your response and see if we can work to clarify some points. First, I want to respond to your comment below:
"You made a great deal of media hysteria about one day at one place, but have said nothing at all about the riots in 2020 at Minneapolis,"

Look, as those events go I don't disagree with you at all as to how the rule of law was grossly ignored. It was wrong. It wasn't the first and probably won't be the last time that obvious violence was ignored or relatively ignored by the authorities. Too little was done after the LA riots, the Tulsa Massacre/Greenwood District, and others.

I just wanted to clarify whether or not you thought what happened January 6 was okay in your opinion or was it wrong? Similarly, in your opinion, did Trump do anything wrong on that day?

Ah yes. So many people think the economy is great but they are worried they will be mocked if they answer an anonymous survey about it truthfully…..

What complete idiots. So out of touch.

I bet if they (most of the administration) were asked the current price of everyday items they couldn't get them right.

Line them all up and have them play various games from the Price is Right show and get the popcorn ready for some good laughs.
