I agree with your remedy. But the people complaining now were the first to defend pastors in the past for making political statements. That's my issue.KaiBear said:contrario said:Exactly. Many pastors over the centuries have preached conservative stances and people complaining in this thread have never made a peep about those instances. But since they disagree with this pastor, then a pastor shouldn't be allowed to voice their opinion. That is hypocritical in my mind and very anti-christian.KaiBear said:ScottS said:She's a libtard and you know it. I agree with Trump's post. She did fail to mention the murders that have taken place by illegals. Cases like the Laken Riley case. Here is Trump's post....C. Jordan said:
Tremendous sermon given by a preacher with tremendous courage. She knew she was going to get MAGA fury, but she uplifted Jesus anyway. She spoke morally, and that always has political implications.
It was actually mild. She urged the President to show compassion for the powerless. A great man who was a Christian would have taken it well. Since Trump is neither, he didn't. Instead, he made a vile, petty, nonChristian post. Because that's who he is. He worships the rich and powerful, the Musks, etc. None of them are in the neighborhood of Christ.
I wish some of his groveling evangelical megachurch "pastors" had introduced him to Jesus. But they would have had to have known him themselves to do so.Omg Trump just posted this 🤣🔥 pic.twitter.com/JFw148Jr6G

Although I agree with Trumps point of view here; the Bishop still had the right to voice whatever view she has; regardless if flawed or not.
Every priest or pastor has that right.
The obvious remedy is for those who find her attitude objectionable……find another Church.
Have read many comments from our resident leftists vehemently complaining about 'evangelicals' preaching conservative political views.
And I provided the same remedy.
Find another Church.
What Church do you attend ?
It doesn't matter if I do or don't attend church or what church I attended. All I'm asking for is consistency. I've defended pastors in the past for voicing their political opinions in sermons, I'm defending this pastor for voicing her opinion in this sermon. I'm being consistent. It's the people that aren't consistent that I have an issue with. It sounds like you are being consistent, so I have no issues with you on this particular topic.
