Kudos for the regressives for being correct about Trump's election being a THREAT TO DEMOCRACY .... they just left out the part where the regressives are the actual threat to democracy.

Has there ever been a party more focused on undermining democracy and building authoritarian control?

Yes. They typically wore brown shirts and had a large youth movement.

This is one reason I accurately label the Dems as fascists.

I had hoped the Dumbocrats would realize the majority of the country wants no part of their policies and start to shift a bit. No sir. They are tripling down on their godless BS while screaming (and singing) and threatening violence every step of the way. I can only hope Trump and Co. step on their necks for the next 12 years or so.

That's because Trump is dismantling their ability to grift. They don't actually care about this woke crap they push, they just want money. The woke stuff is a means for them to grift.

Not sure in American history there has been a larger, more concerted effort to undermine with will of the people and the democratically elected president.

They are squealing like stick pigs because they can see their scams threatened. They also realize they might end up in prison. It is funny that D.C. insiders are lawyering up.

Great column by Kimberly Strassel. It may be behind a paywall.

She makes the case for why many Republicans will start getting antsy with DOGE. They have their own pet projects with kickbacks that will be revealed.

Will that stand up and be accounted for or be hypocrites and call for Trump to call off Musk? I'd wager the latter.

Where are the GOP types funneling the money to?

Big business? Military industrial complex?

It is very hard for me to believe there were no republicans involved. What is puzzling though, is that all of this garbage is DEI and tran*ny stuff which only dems will be connected to. Maybe we haven't seen the republican side of it yet because they started with USAID and not DoD.

Still betting money mitch is high on this list.

I'm sure there are some GOP pet projects; however, the vast majority - maybe 99% - of federal workers are Democrats and probably 25% of those are the true radical extremist nut jobs. I guarantee you know USAID money is going to fund crisis pregnancy centers or adoption agencies domestically or abroad.

I know there are a lot of smart, talented federal workers, but the lifetime job security and lower performance standards attracts a special kind of person, and the people 99% of the time are Democrats.

More about GOPers who have funds designated for pet projects hidden in Omnibus bills. It may not be illegal and may not provide kickbacks (wink, wink) but the usage of the funds are for completely unnecessary and wasteful projects.

Methinks there will be lots of examples of indirect kickbacks. Perhaps gray but would hopefully get the representative primaried.

I have no problem bringing legal action against any representative of either party who is party to breaking laws.

Exactly. All the lefty causes are first and foremost just vehicles and opportunities for massive corruption and grifting. This especially includes things like climate change / green new scam, the whole race baiting / victimology "industry", abortion, and gun control, along with all of the woke stuff as well.

If you really want to get into theory behind it, the woke agenda is essentially going against everything that's normalized because they want as many targets as possible to exploit and grift from.

You'll start to understand how satanic it really is when you wrap your mind around it.

It's built on this false idea of equality and egalitarianism. As an example, they took gender dysphoria which had a high success rate of being dealt with and changed the narrative to trans rights and pushed it heavily into entertainment and politics. Then they use things like DEI as a credit rating system for access to billions of dollars if said company promotes trans ideology. Of course we also have USAID as a front to push money toward NGOs who seek to push trans rights.

The underlying and true nature of this woke stuff is access to money. It's horrific. It's why we've called it a clown world or upside down. They're getting their hands on everything that's normal and reversing it for access to money and tax dollars.

The only thing democrats have going for them is the past couple of decades of narrative building to try to shame the public into condemning Trump's actions. It's "we need to protect USAID because it supports *insert identity politics".

It's important not to mix metaphors.

100% that every member of Congress has wasteful pork projects hidden in omnibus or non-omnibus bill. They are wasteful and should not be tolerated. However, that is very different than the bureaucracy awarding discretionary funds for pure political patronage where taxpayers directly fund Democrat elections and causes without have any say in the matter. Congressional pork is awful, but at least the people have some recourse, i.e. they could elect another Congressman or Senator.

Completely agree. But I suspect some Republicans are doing similar things. Not on the same scale but guilty is guilty.

My guess is that most republicans involved are RINO's. Then again, corruption runs deep. Who knows how far? There certainly might be lots more corruption than anyone expects.

Clearly the Bill Kristol example proves your point; however, not sure how "Republican" he is any more.

The good news is Trump really is not a conservative, so he'll steamroll over Republican corruption just like Democrat.

I would be shocked if there are three examples of money being laundered to true conservative causes.

Root it all out. Can't imagine anyone that voted for Trumonis against that.

Seems only D's scream about exposing their inadequacies and thievery and grift and lies
