My mom's dad was Belgian (he went to join the US Army in Europe to become a citizen), his entire family stayed in Belgium, I went a couple times.

That's a place, pre EU, that was fiercely nationalistic, especially in the northern Flanders regions. I have no idea how we got to this place where Belgium is like a dystopian Washington DC.

It boggles my mind that, post EU, it's almost unrecognizable. The EU has only been around a couple decades. That's not a slow descent it's falling off a cliff.

Europe is becoming a dystopian nanny state.
They will be enemies of freedom and liberty in a generation or so if things don't change.

As a side note, I suspect all nation states that are not heavily traditional-Christian influenced will descend towards dystopia, hedonism, and tyranny.

Looking back, you will see that it coincides with the EU and Soros' Open Society, One World Order. This has been planned for decades

The Europeans already are the enemies of freedom & liberty! How many British are in jail for things they posted on social media or silently praying outside a baby murder factory? Same with Germans and the rest. They arrest rape victims for criticizing their attackers!

Literally, it is not safe for Americans to travel to the UK if you posted something online their fascist government does not like.

[The EU population was estimated at 449.3 million people and more than one-fifth (21.6%) of it was aged 65 years and over. On 1 January 2024, the median age of the EU's population reached 44.7 years

projections suggest that older individuals will account for nearly a third of the population by 2050, with less than two working-age individuals for every older person.

The ageing population in Europe by 2050 will have profound implications across various sectors, including health care, social welfare, the labour market, and the economy. This demographic shift will substantially increase the burden of chronic diseases and age-related conditions, placing substantial financial strain on health-care systems. Social welfare systems, including pensions and long-term care services, will face increasing pressure. ]

So many places in the world today seem to be trying to create an Orwellian dystopia or worse. The Book of Revelation seems closer and closer to current events.
