Antisemitism in the West has the common factor of right and left. It is a scourge upon Western history. It is easily one thing to disagree with religious beliefs. It is entirely another to radicalize that into a hatred of a people enough to desire their eradication, or extermination to the point of total irrelevancy. It is important to note that this attitude flaring up toward the relatively small number of Jews in Europe over the last 1500 years or so has made it nigh impossible to rid ourselves of it.
The infection of it in the Arab world will make it nigh impossible for them to be rid of it as well.
It is also no wonder Jewish people get their own radicals who are tired of being blacklisted by so many other cultures around them.

The present backlash against mass immigration - a policy that invited backlash from day one as hardly any culture will passively die away - could very easily degrade into the radicals getting too much voice. We people are rather dumb over history in that respect. Good people with common sense are needed more now than any time after WW2.

From what I can tell from a quick view of crime stats here and in Europe, it does seem that in many places in Europe where violence is not as common, property crimes are pretty high - like the major cities of Italy.
Paris seems to be in that category as well - at least between protests.
