What we can hope is that there is a clear break between the good guy Muslims and ideologists. Right now it does not appear like they are doing anything like that.

[In a shocking ruling today, the Finnish Supreme Court upheld Pavi Rsnen's hate speech conviction over a pamphlet she wrote in 2004 (!), in which the longtime Finnish member of parliament, and a devout Lutheran, made a case for how the traditional Biblical understanding of homosexuality should affect the way Finns think about proposed laws.

Here is a link to the pamphlet in English. It is plainspoken and respectful, even anodyne. She in no way advocated violence or aggression against gays and lesbians. Simply articulating an opinion that gays and lesbians do not like is, according to the Finnish high court, hate speech.

The court imposed a fine on Rsnen and her Lutheran bishop, who was also charged with hate speech over the matter. This is truly shocking. Finnish gays and lesbians have had the right to civil partnerships since 2002, and marriage since 2017. And yet, activists and their allies in the state went all the way back to 2004 to dig up an ordinary pamphlet a Lutheran churchwoman wrote explaining why, in her view, Christians should not support gay marriage.

The High Court demanded that all copies of the pamphlet be removed from the Internet and destroyed.

This is Europe in 2026. This is exactly what J.D. Vance talked about in his controversial Munich 2025 speech. In Finland today, they can convict Christians of hate speech simply for writing a pamphlet 22 years ago, explaining why Christians cannot support gay marriage. This is where we are...]
