Amazon is down a whopping $.33 right now.

So you don't like it that Amazon wants to be transparent and show how much of the cost of their products is tariffs? If not, then why not? I hear Donald Trump and his yes men and women in the White House are pissed!

I thought transparency was good. That we wanted to see how Government influence impacts our lives?

Huge problem in trucking right now. You're going to see lots of folks go out of business. It's dead right now. Like no work.

So to make up for no work the prices have gone up.

Car hauler from Dade County to Ytown, Ohio 8 weeks ago was $1,100 per car. I've got a guy that needs one picked up and it sat on the board so long he finally called the guy that did it 8 weeks ago who told him $1,800 take it or leave it. So he took it.

It is going to get worse. Ports are down too.

Great day to be MAGA, maybe we can hit more lows.

I've read that even if the tariffs get fixed today…which they won't.... we are still going to see weeks of product disruption based on what has already been scaled back.

Please don't let us have panic buying like Covid times.

I am sure Trump promised to make his life and his company's life miserable if he did not.

Why is there not any more outrage from us Proles? I think the importer of record of imported goods should have every right to post the tariff they were charged by the U.S. government. Some would call it transparency. Why doesn't Trump and his minions not want transparency? Trump is basically saying, "Screw all of the little people. They don't need to know what they are actually paying in tariffs".

Trump is angry with the pollsters for his low approval rating. Most Americans with a functioning brain not wearing blinders are not happy about this.

Fascist is traditionally a right wing Nationalist political movement. I don't think Biden fits, Democratic Socialist is where I put him.
That's the myth started by Stalin. It is no more true today than it was 100 years ago. American Leftists have latched onto it for obvious reasons and it's been repeated many times, even in schools. It's still a lie no matter how many times it is repeated.

By the way, progressivism is closer to fascism than communism al though there really is not a huge amount of difference between the different versions of socialism (communism, fascism, Bolshevism, Maoism, etc), especially from the perspective of their victims. Whether you are tortured and murdered in a Soviet Gulag, a Nazi concentration camp, a Chinese or Cambodian "reeducation camp" doesn't matter. You're still dead by an evil regime.
Ok, let's leave the right or left out of the equation. If it suits you.

So, Fascism isn't a Nationalist centric political system? Find me one, accepted credible source not some Bannon-centric MAGA crap, that defines Fascism without the Nationalist component.

Remember, I said Biden wasn't a Fascist because he lacked the Nationalist component and was more of Social Democrat. You keep calling the current batch of Democrats Fascist. I don't see ANY Democrat America-first or Nationalist movement. Actually, by your own words they are Globalists, the polar opposite of Nationalist.

A century ago, the fascists tended to be ultra nationalists but not do much today. Nationalism in general is not like it was when it was the primary cause of World War I. When one understands its socialist roots and that fascists main goal is always to concentrate more power in the hands of the state then it becomes clearer.

In a way, however, the Dems do love America when they are in power and can remake the country in their image and to suit their agenda. It's a perverted version of the country but they pervert everything they touch when they aren't destroying it. Or maybe it's while they are destroying it. They love their idea of America which is pretty much the opposite of what the rest of us want. That can be seen as a kind of nationalism but it's a stretch.

Being sarcastic, right? I know a lot of people that have made careers and raised families on UPS. It was the one place to get a good paying job. My neighbor and his wife have a 300k house delivering for UPS. UPS was the UAW of the 90's and 00's.

We've seen alot of panic from the TDS side in the short run. But, this is about the long game. If China is already caving, I think this is great news. I think the long game will show evening the tariffs between us and other countries.

GDP contracted at an annual rate of 0.3 percent, a new report shows, offering a first look at how tariffs are reshaping spending patterns and changing the economy.

Actually, the concern is opposite.

Near Term - less than 6 months, concern because they are destroying a lot of lives for speed and extremism. No one disagrees that changes are needed, they are always needed as conditions change and (in this case the reaction to bad decisions by the Biden and the first Trump Admin). But to do it this way, has hurt a lot of people that have done nothing but their jobs.

Short term - 6 months to a year, no concern. They will all "cave" because they are heavily invested in the US market.

Long term - over 1 year, real economic concern. They may cave now, but they are working on NOT being in this position again. We may get some "diplomatic lip service", but the EU, China and even our allies on Asia are looking at other markets and diversification. What will the long-term picture look like when they develop other options. Trump may hold all the cards on this hand, but the game is more than one hand.

But, hey this will be a MAGA dream isolationism, and little say beyond our shores.

I don't see it this way. You can say all you want that countries in the long term can switch things up but I'm not sure its that easy.

Which is why they will cave in the short term. Would you stand pat if you were a US trading partner.

I don't know how he can keep a straight face saying tariffs are not the cause of the current issues.

I could at least understand if he was saying I inherited some deep seated issues in the economy that are going to take some temporary painful measures to correct long term. But just to say these current issues aren't the results of tariffs is demeaning to those who support him.

Any fool can smell a rotten egg but nobody ever lays a better one. Dems and RINOs have had decades to lay a better one and always passed on the opportunity in favor of lining their own pockets and those off their donors.

Now, we're getting a different egg from a different chicken. We don't know if it's rotten or not but it is uncomfortable pushing that sucker out.

Trump is getting all the blame because he has refused to to stick with the same rotten egg that everyone complained about but chose to do nothing.
