When did they change the topic of this thread to fascism?? I see new posts, thinking there is something new about the killing or the reaction to it. Wrong.
Too many people agreed the killer in Sante Fe should not be defended, so the thread devolved into a dictionary war.

My guess is that it's a lot like Sam claiming "I'm a conservative" when there doesn't appear to be a shred of evidence that supports this.

It's weird ... I suppose it is because "fascism" is misunderstood by 99% of the people that use it.

It's part of Klaus Schwab/George Soros and crew's One World Order plan. Buy as much media as you can purchase, then hire editors who will ignore attacks toward Caucasians and exploit any crimes toward other races as much as possible, especially if done by a white. They knew that the liberals would be very easy to control. Now it's gone too far for them to control - as social media is exposing them. The day of Open Society is coming to a close

More action here over the weekend from the usual "teen" suspects.

Early Saturday morning, the Charleston County Sheriff's Office pursued a reported stolen vehicle towards downtown Charleston from West Ashley before calling it off. CPD responded to a crash involving the stolen vehicle near Romney Street and North Romney Street, where they located an individual who had approached the crashed car to help and subsequently been shot. A 13-year-old faces an attempted murder charge in connection to the incident and the victim was treated and released from a local hospital.

It is still very safe especially over on my side of the harbor in Mt Pleasant but we are not immune from the usual "teens" that are out doing what they like to do.

I visited for the first time last summer, absolutely loved it. Also made my way over to Mt Pleasant to see a friend, very nice area

To my understanding, most of the riff raff is over on that west and north side. Seems like the city does a good job of keeping it over there though

Exactly, downtown on the peninsula only has a couple of pockets of hood left and is being slowly priced out. North Charleston is where most all of the crime happens. Of course I drive around through there in the day time and it doesnt seem that bad by hood standards but its still out there. The good thing about CHS is we have a lot of bridges and islands. It makes it very hard for criminals to come into Mt Pleasant or Daniel Island and do crime then get away quickly and easily bc access is limited to one or two routes.

When I go to Nee Orleans it is for the WW2 museum and I stay at the hotel for it or close by in the warehouse district and maybe a few restaurants close by or along the river. I have done all the "tourist" attractions and don't feel the need to go back and Bourbon street once in my 20s was enough for me. The rest of it is like you said

Charleston is only similar to New Orleans bc they are both old. Charleston is safe, beautiful. clean and we have several beaches. Its a fantastic place to live and we will gladly accept more Texans just no more yankees.

My family has been going to Orange beach, AL every year since 2010 for family beach week. They all come from Dallas and Abilene and we have like an hour shorter drive coming from CHS. Charleston has nice beaches but they are not as nice as Pawleys island and Myrtle beach. Also, the Florida bama gulf coast are imo the best beaches in the south. White sugar sand makes them better than the Atlantic beaches.

I spent all afternoon out at Folly Beach, SC (the edge of American) and its a really fun beach town here in Charleston. I'm lucky that my business partner is a surfer and he has a sweet place on the beach out there. And for a Waco tie in, I know a lot of surfer bros out here that fly to Waco to surf at BSR. Its no joke and one of the best spots in the country. If only that woulda been there in the 90s!!

I went to orange beach/fort Morgan once and it was great. The last 3 years we have gone to Dauphin Island, Alabama and it is great. Cheaper and the houses are yards away from the water or sometimes right on it. It is also less crowded. Probably because there isn't as much "to do" off the beach but we go purely for the beach.

Once refused to take leave in Acapulco. My buddies thought I was nuts.

When they returned......universally reported going there was a huge mistake.

Spent quite a bit of time there and in Puerto Vallarta. They were changing a lot even during the 1980s when I was there. I remember a turning point for Carnival when one of our Tourist groups, a horse riding group, was ambushed and robbed by bandits with guns up in the mountains in PV.

Do you remember which parts of New Orleans you were in? I have been several times and while there are parts that I wouldn't go to if I was paid the tourist areas I have been too have all felt really safe, clean (except bourbon street), and generally good areas.

Algiers is both lovely and deadly, from my personal view. Great Louisiana architecture and cool old NOLA neighborhood, but at least in the 80s, not a place to walk around at night

Had spent the day investigating an old civil war fort approximately 30 miles downriver from New Orleans.

On a whim took a hotel room off Bourbon Street.
Big mistake.

Only time in the US where I thought might need to use my concealed.
