Sadly, the rest of the USA is what happened to California.
We actually used to get Republican governors. But not anymore.
I get why California was the prize, the ultimate goal for Americans who could make the move here.
Since we now can't get a Republican for governor anymore it has obviously been the wretched liberal refuse that have crossed our teeming borders over the decades who now consistently put the liberals in office who have created this disaster and taken it to even more morose places.
Over the decades, Texas, New York and Illinois have sent more people to California than any other state.
They even add Florida to that list in more recent times.
Explains all the Texas license plates I
still see out here in abundance, with a lot from Florida as well.
As I've mentioned to my Texas relations who oft joke about the Californians moving to Texas now, it's the liberal migration to California over the past fifty years that that has finally overrun the conservative base we once could muster, and has forced many of our conservatives out.
California certainly didn't get the short end of the stick when it came to weather and geographic beauty...and pretty much everything else...but we're certainly getting the shiv now.
Thanks a lot, America. The transplants have cheapened the gold standard of the Golden State.
