The federal government obligated $5.7 billion for LA wildfire recovery - including debris removal and direct relief - while California's own audit found 37% of state disaster funds unspent due to bureaucratic bottlenecks. The SBA distributed $3.2 billion in loans, but Sacramento's permitting gridlock left 80% of survivors homeless a year later. Local leaders suspended environmental reviews yet still take 9-14 months to issue rebuild permits.

Meanwhile, Newsom's $34 billion federal aid request remains stalled - not by Washington, but by his own failure to document existing expenditures.

Real recovery requires cutting state red tape, not deflecting blame.

I've said this time and again, but as a Californian, the fact this guy's name is even still in the conversation for POTUS is beyond belief.
If he runs, and wins, this country is done. Not only because of what he will do to it, but because it will be reflective of just how little American voters care about America.
GN is in this for himself. No one else. In many ways he matches DT in the arrogance department. The only difference is DT is working his ass off to get things done for America, while GN isn't doing a darn thing to make CA better.
I mean, how much sleep does DT get every night?
I'm sure GN is getting plenty of rest. He sure isn't doing anything to improve the lives of Californians. In fact, just the opposite.
And if he doesn't care about Californians, I can guarantee he doesn't give a sheet about the rest of America.
This is all about him.

Absolutely. I dont remember having nearly so many issues the last time I was in Cali (the 90s I think, for a wedding. Stayed at La Ermitage in Beverly Hills if memory is correct)

AI Overview
Yes, Governor Gavin Newsom vetoed at least two bills in 2024 and 2025 designed to increase oversight and transparency for state spending on homelessness, specifically AB 2903 in late 2024 and AB 255 in late 2025, citing reasons like duplication of existing efforts, lack of funding, or conflicts with his "housing first" strategy. Lawmakers and critics, spurred by state audits showing poor tracking of homelessness funds, argued these vetoes hindered accountability and data-driven solutions, while Newsom claimed existing laws covered the issues or that the bills created unnecessary burdens.

Which, as it appears, the existing laws/bills did not work as the fraud in Cali by politicians like Newsom is off the charts.

Politicians produce hot air

Hot air fanned flames

Flames disproportionately impacted black neighborhoods

Therefore, politicians are racist.

The epitome of political marketing. He and AOC both.

No substance. No accomplishments other than getting elected by a predominance of Democrats who live in their districts/state. Which really isn't an accomplishment.

All they have is their anti-DT schtick, a good hair gel job, and, I don't know what SHE has (other than her DT obsession). They have no other cards to play. Gotta love how they both embarrassed themselves on an international stage though. He lacks so much self-awareness and is so in love with himself he doesn't even realize it though.

They can mock DT all they want, but if you're going to get out there and make a spectacle of yourself like they have, maybe you need to reel in your critiques on others.

And that Michigan governor....lol. Sitting in on some world security discussion, and when asked a question, she immediately turns the question over to....a man. lol. How utterly embarrassing. For her, and all womankind.

I would like to be a fly on the wall when this thing sits down for coffee with that crybaby senator we have who was manhandled when he stormed the room, unannounced, at the Noem press conference last year. Reduced to a simpering baby. That would be a hell of a convo, and quite good for a laugh.

The unending list of idiotic and embarrassing liberal politicians we have out of this state is unbelievable. And they concern themselves with how DT acts? lol
