They don't have to work in concert to lack credibility. They tend to use common sources and so you get similar coverage. They are also working off of common narratives Those sources are often biased. Proper journalism involves a variety of sources from different perspectives and representing those views fairly. I'm curious what exactly you're saying here. The media outlets simply appear to be reporting what the government alleged in court. Are you claiming that not just some but all of the mainstream media misrepresented what was in the charging documents? If so, do you have any evidence of this?
