Is he an honorable Christian man? Serious question. I've never heard him speak about his faith. As best I can tell he identifies as a Methodist which to me as a concern.

I mean, I guess if you want a contrarian who really has no policy positions other than being a contrarian, he's the guy for you. I just don't think that's good government quite frankly.

I would submit there is a happy medium between Massie to and Trump

Good point. You never know what this guy.

Quite honestly, I think the same thing could be set of a lot of the America firsters

Honestly just give me the policy Trump proposed on the campaign trail, minus the narcissism and other poor character traits associated with the man.

First, no question Trump is a self-aggrandizing narcissist. What's ironic is I said that well before the primaries and got accused of being a NeverTrumper and having Trump derangement syndrome by several on this board. So it's ironic that I'm having to defend him.

From what I recall before the 2024 election, some of the major policies that Trump ran on were mass deportations, closing the borders, extending the tax cuts, reducing corporate taxes, strengthening the military, and increasing energy, production. All of those were major planks that he discussed during the primaries and during the debates.

I have never voted for a Democrat in my life. There are a couple of GOP candidates I've withheld my vote from (McCain/Romney) by voting Constitution Party. That's because the only thing worse than having a Democrat advancing Democrat policies is having a Republican advance them.

We've gotten to a place in his second term where Trump is considering an amnesty for illegals, has launched a war on Iran on Israel's behalf, has reauthorized FISA, and has actively attempted to prevent the release of the Epstein Johns names. He's also turned on Thomas Massie, and MTG along with some of his most dedicated supporters. A year and a half into his second term, he's only deported 1 years worth of Biden illegals *if* you count self-deportations.

None of this is what MAGA voters voted for. I get that your politics are all Israel all the time, but it may be getting close to the point where November's vote becomes a tool to get the old fool impeached and removed from office.

Kentucky voters need to step up for Thomas Massie on May 19th. Lets see how that goes.

So, is that a yes? For the record, although I realize you will continue to mischaracterize and lie about my position on Israel, I don't consider you a Groyper.

With respect to America First, the problem with your movement is it consistently substitutes outrage, conspiracy and suspicion for argument and evidence, and replaces coherent conservative principles with grievance-driven populism, not unlike your leftist counterparts. While the slogan sounds good (of course a government should prioritize its own people), your movement fails to define what those priorities entail, how they are ordered, or what limits them.

America First also seems to package conspiracism under the guise of skepticism. The Epstein files are a perfect example. Immoral and disrespectful loudmouths like MTG make serious accusations about pedo cabals and foreign influence, but all of her grievances are aired without standards of proof or evidence. It's nothing more than a capitulation to sensationalism and outrage politics. Is that what we want from the conservative movement? Philandering clowns like MTG as our spokesman?

Foreign policy is another example. America First reduces complex geopolitical questions to a false choice between total disengagement and betrayal of national interest. Longstanding conservative doctrines such as "peace through strength" (see Reagan), strategic alliances, and deterrence are dismissed as "globalism" or "neoconservatism" without serious engagement. Or worse yet, it is seen as a capitulation to the whims and fancies of Israel, which of course resembles a subtle, but historical, antisemitic trope. I would submit that allowing such rhetoric to fester under the banner of "America First" nationalism is both ethically wrong and politically selfdestructive.

In short, your movement defines conservatism not by what it seeks to preserve, but by a posture of perpetual resentment against institutions, elites, allies, and even fellow conservatives. At this point, it's nothing more than a purely oppositional identity, and clowns like MTG, Nick Fuentes and Tucker are your spokesmans. That speaks volumes.

Who are the spokepersons for MAGA? Donald Trump, Randy Fine, Paula White, and Ben Shapiro?

You'll get no argument from me that Maga suffers from many of the same problems , which is one of the reasons I consider myself a traditional conservative and not Maga. I held my nose and voted for Trump. I am not a huge fan of many of his policies. He was simply far better than the alternative.

But at least maga has some semblance of a coherent set of policies that can be clearly defined. It's not merely grievance politics.

And in some sense, they are both represented by clowns although I don't think JD Vance and Rubio are clowns. But it's certainly better than MTG, Tucker, Carlson, Nick, Fuentes and Candace Owens lol

Give me an honorable Christian man in 2028, like Massie, and I'll vote for them.

Honestly I don't know enough about Paxton or Cornyn to comment on them. I live in Philly.

They strike me as average GOP stock, which isn't necessarily a good thing imo

I've suspected for some time that maybe Tucker, Megyn, & the rest were bought off by Islamofascists, the Chinese, Soros, or someone else. Now it seems that might be the case. Check it out:

Accidentally Saying the Quiet Part Out Loud

https://hotair.com/david-strom/2026/05/06/accidentally-saying-the-quiet-part-out-loud-n3814659

It certainly would explain much of their recent crazy rhetoric & behavior. Candace is just plain nuts.

These people share more in common with the left nowdays then they do with the right. The spirited defenses of Islam, and the willingness to burn down the house are incredible to me. We now have purported conservatives actively rooting for Trump to lose. It's remarkable.

That's because they are no longer conservative. It makes me wonder if they ever really were.

But does Tucker know that?

Seriously, I know Tucker & JD are friends (or were) but things change. After his career tanked he has become more radical and his material is more like click bait than anything serious. Regardless, his extremism is enough reason for me to largely ignore him.

It's also possible that only Megyn was bought off.

I suspect the whole lot of them have been bought off - Tucker, Megyn, Candace, etc.

JD Vance has pretty much torpedoed any chance at the presidency at this point. I suspect Rubio will be the nom.

JD might still have a chance but he will probably have to distance himself from Tucker's craziness.

Paxton is far from perfect but he's far better than any of the alternatives: Cornyn is a RINO who no longer represents Texans or Texas values & Talarico is a demonic blasphemer more radical and evil than most Dems.

Anyone know what legislation or issues Massie actually supports? I get the professional contrarian thing. But other than opposing any spending (something I appreciate) and being an isolationist (something I find foolish), I am not sure why people get so excited about him. Yes, he authored the Epstein Act, and insinuated some massive govt. coverup of elites, but nothing at all has materialized. We've learned nothing damning about anyone in the recent document dump. They've been nothing but a big, fat nothing-burger.

Just don't get all of the hype.

I don't think that's true of everyone in Congress.

That said, I just don't get the Massie hype, per my edit above. Maybe it's the whole Epstein nothing-burger that has people all riled up.

I agree the Epstein thing is a nothing burger, but it's a major deal with the common folk. So I totally understand why he's one of the more popular republicans right now.

But I would say most Americans don't even understand how congress works, it's real concerning.

Glad to see you come out of hiding. You tucked tail and ran for the last few weeks. But I suspect I won't get answers to any of the questions posed.

No, I never said anything of the sort. This is you making stuff up again.

Your neo-nazi beliefs are what is out of touch. What's hilarious is you think the crap you believe is anything new. It's all been done before.

Your tiny minority will go the way of the Nazis, rest assured. What makes your comments so hilarious is the fact that you're a late 30s single, childless atheist with no prospects. One would think it would cause you to re-examine your lot in life.
